Greetings again all. For the past three years now I've lived barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, permacultural intentional community, out in the jungles of Lower Puna, on the Eastern tip of the Big Island of Hawai'i.

The above photo is looking down the very rural, jungle dirt (and lots of rock) road that gives us access to the outside world. The driveway on the left is the first entrance to my community.
The road my community is on used to be called Noni Farms Road, but after the lava blocked the way, creating a dead end that ends at our community, it was renamed Pu'u'ā (Rain Hill in Hawaiian) Road.

This is turned 180-degrees around, looking toward the second entrance and the lava wall that now ends the road at us.

This is farther down the previous road. The lava wall that cut off the road can barely be seen through the trees straight ahead. The second entrance to the community can be seen veering to the right.

This is a closer view of of the lava wall that ends Pu'u'ā Road. It's approximately 15-feet high, though the hight varies considerably in different areas. I have a young Chinese/Vietnamese weeping banyan, along with a few other plants growing just to the left of the lava. I also put several bromeliad species up on the lava, as they thrive under such conditions.

This is a second location on the property where the lava is accessible. There are steps going up the lava, and a geodesic bamboo structure (that I've mentioned in previous posts) up on top, on the left. Many more bromeliads can be seen growing up on the lava.
Over time I will share more and more from my life, my world, and my jungle community. I hope y'all enjoy this snippet. 🙏💚
