Be more Generous - Here's how?

Generosity- we may hear about this word thousand times. But when we try to evaluate ourselves on the basis of these, we may find a different image of ourselves. Because the truth is most of us are not that generous as they should be. And you can count me on the list too. Because being generous is not that easy, giving selflessly, helping others, supporting regardless of religion, race, and value is not easy at all.

But we all may agree in one point that this is one of the basic human virtue and we all should have developed this in ourselves. So let's talk about how we can do that!

First we need to understand the benefits of generosity. You will find many people who don't donate, volunteer, or don't even believe in giving away or helping others. They are actually not selfish. They just never understand and realized the need for generosity. So I would say first we have to understand why we need to be generous. And if you consider looking around your surrounding; from the homeless people to who live in old age homes; from street children around the world to your local stray dog; you'll find thousands of reasons to be generous.

And the second thing you must do start doing it!

Try practicing generosity through your activity. It can be through embracing gratitude, it can be any volunteer work or fundraising activity or anything that interests you. Also, you should spend more time with people who need help, like voluntary work in hospitals or old age homes. And there are actually many more options to spend our life meaningfully so that we can gather more values.

You will find many who are going through depression, anxiety, and many other negative feelings. I believe if we consider ourselves as a person who can help so many lives to become greater, who can help make lives better our perspective about life will be better. I believe that when we involve ourselves in these type of generous activities, it would help ourselves to become a better person.
