Since the world was created, the divine mandate to grow as a species and to multiply itself started from the same Holy Scriptures and if, on the contrary, we stick to the evolutionist theory, we find the same sign or sign in all living beings: to be born, to grow, to reproduce and to die.
The cycle of life contemplates reproduction as a way to create, sustain and preserve what is alive on earth, everything that is alive needs to feel united and protected, and what better way than to create new lives.
Therefore, I do not think it is wise to cut the cycle out of fear, whether it is justified or not. We are not gods to decide if the earth deserves to be populated with new blood and a constantly evolving spirit.
So, I agree with @ecotrain when he says, " Over the years, I have noticed that quite a few friends and colleagues have told me that they would never have children because of the state of the world...and I almost immediately felt that if everyone who was a good person did the same thing, pretty soon all the good people would disappear."

The children of life
Children are part of the fulfillment of life and for the human being, it is his flowering as a productive person who brings to the world his seed, as an expression not only of his genetic legacy but also spiritual.
To commit oneself to bring a new being into the world in order to deposit in it all the love of which one is capable, to respect its individuality, and to support its integral growth, cannot be a bad thing, no matter how terrible the functioning of today's world maybe.
And, in that vein, I find the questions posed this week interesting: Is our world in such a bad state that children suffer too much? Are things better or worse than they used to be?
Certainly, I believe that in every age of humanity on earth there have been good times and bad times, hard times for children, and better times.
To say that we are living in the most difficult times and that all past times were better is an exaggeration and an overestimation of the past. Life is always today, the past is gone and the future has not arrived. Therefore, it is today that we must take care of and attend to without anxieties or resentment with the times.
Is it difficult? Of course, it is, but life needs its children, those we believe to be ours. Therefore, we cannot sacrifice them for the sake of fear or whatever is taking over the souls of those who fertilize the ground of hopelessness and denial.
Sticks and splinters
Children are an extension of us. And, although the Bible says there is no good tree that bears bad fruit and no bad tree that bears good fruit, it can be argued that there have been cases that overturn this dictum because not everything is determined by heredity.
The work and dedication of good parents to the spiritual awakening and growth of the little ones in their care, whether or not they are biological children, has filled the world with good people. Not everything is good today, but not everything is bad either, and if we all became aware of this, we could improve the perpetuation of the species with more humane people.
In life, we have all been sticks and splinters, we come from a tree and we will be trees in due course. Our parents are the sticks and we are the splinters, but life reserves for us the change of role, from splinter to stick to continue the population cycle of the world and the occupation of each role.
Faced with this reality and responsibility, which we should not avoid for obvious reasons, we have to face with the fortitude that it is up to us to bring to the world lights that illuminate the path to be traveled by all, committing ourselves to improve ourselves by polishing our lights and feelings to then be illuminators and accompany the growth of others.
We are diamonds in the rough that with commitment, work and perseverance we can shine. The question is not to give up or give in. The question is not to lose Faith and Love as a "shield and buckler" to move forward and overcome the fear of failure.
Palos y astillas
Desde que el mundo fue creado, el mandato divino de crecer como especie y multiplicarse , se puede decir que partió de las mismas Sagradas Escrituras y si, por el contrario, nos apegamos a la teoría evolucionista, encontramos el mismo signo o señal en todo lo vivo: nacer, crecer, reproducirse y morir.
El ciclo de la vida contempla la reproducción como forma de crear, sostener y preservar lo vivo sobre la tierra, todo lo vivo necesita sentirse unido y protegido y qué mejor forma que crear nuevas vidas.
Entonces, no creo que sea sensato cortar el ciclo por miedo, sea o no justificado. No somos dioses para decidir si la tierra merece o no ser poblada con sangre y espíritu nuevos en constante evolución.
Por eso, coincido con @ecotrain cuando refiere que “A lo largo de los años, he notado que bastantes amigos y colegas me han dicho que nunca tendrían hijos debido al estado del mundo… y casi de inmediato sentí que si todos los que eran buenas personas hicieran lo mismo, muy pronto todas las personas agradables desaparecerían”.
Y, es que a pesar de que hay muchos factores que pudieran alentar ese pensamiento en algunas personas, no hay uno solo con el suficiente peso como para invalidar o interrumpir el ciclo de la vida.
Los Hijos de la Vida
Los hijos forman parte de la realización de la vida y paral el ser humano es su florecimiento como persona productiva que aporta al mundo su simiente, como expresión no sólo de su legado genético , sino también espiritual.
Comprometerse con traer al mundo un nuevo ser para depositar en él todo el amor de que se es capaz, para respetar su individualidad y apoyar su crecimiento integral, no puede ser malo, por más terrible que esté el funcionamiento del mundo actual.
Y, en ese orden de ideas, me parece interesante las interrogantes planteadas esta semana: ¿Está nuestro mundo en tan mal estado que los niños sufren demasiado? ¿Son las cosas mejores o peores de lo que han sido antes?
Ciertamente, yo creo que en todas las edades de la humanidad sobre la tierra ha habido tiempos buenos y tiempos malos, épocas difíciles para los niños y otras mejores.
Hablar de que estamos viviendo los tiempos más difíciles y que todo tiempo pasado fue mejor, es una exageración y una sobrevaloración del pasado. La vida siempre es hoy, el pasado ya se fue y el futuro no ha venido. Por esto, es el hoy lo que debemos nutrir y cuidar sin ansiedades ni resentimientos con los tiempos.
¿Duro? Claro que lo es, pero la vida necesita de sus hijos, esos que creemos nuestros. Por tanto, no podemos sacrificarlos en aras del miedo o lo que sea se esté posesionando de las almas de quienes abonan el terreno de la desesperanza y la negación.
Palos y astillas
Los hijos son una prolongación nuestra. Y, a pesar de que en la Biblia dice que no hay árbol bueno que dé frutos malos y que no hay árbol malo que dé frutos buenos, uno puede argumentar que se han dado casos que saltan esta sentencia porque no todo lo determina la herencia, el trabajo y dedicación de buenos padres sobre el despertar y crecimiento espiritual de los pequeños a su cargo, sean o no hijos biológicos, ha llenado el mundo de buenas personas.
No todo es bueno hoy en día, pero tampoco todo es malo y si todos concientizamos esto, nos podría ir mejor en la perpetuación de la especie con gente más humana.
En la vida, todos hemos sido palos y astillas, venimos de un árbol y seremos árboles a su debido tiempo. Nuestros padres son los palos y nosotros las astillas, pero la vida nos reserva el cambio de papel, de astilla a palo para proseguir el ciclo de población del mundo y la ocupación de cada rol.
Ante esta realidad y responsabilidad, que no debemos eludir por razones obvias, tenemos que afrontar con entereza que nos corresponde aportar al mundo luces que iluminen el camino a recorrer por todos, comprometiéndonos a mejorar nosotros mismos puliendo nuestras luces y sentimientos para luego ser iluminadores y acompañar el crecimiento de los demás.
Somos diamantes en bruto que con compromiso, trabajo y perseverancia podemos brillar. El asunto es no rendirse ni claudicar. La cuestión es no perder la FE y el AMOR como “escudo y adarga” para avanzar y vencer el miedo a fracasar.
