Well, that is A bummer! My bike has broken!
I made A mistake while riding and the leaf terrain probably didn't help. I was riding through town at A very fast pace and upon coming to A quieter area nearer to home I approached A relatively sharp turn at the bottom of A hill. I was late on the brakes and despite not slamming on the brakes my back wheel locked and began to slide but managed to recover and stay on the bike but sadly the lock up and sliding sideways caused the wheel to completely bend out of place, its gonna be an expensive repair as the bike is old

And it's a cool bike. I like vintage stuff and this kinda fits the grade. We had bikes like that - they were considered the racing bikes, btw. Back then.
I hope you get it sorted and get back on the road.
