So our #wednesdaywalk was that of some good food, some great 'urban art' and a little bit of music. I traveled up to #nashville to meet @iamdarrenclaxton and check out the venue where the artists will be playing for The Block Party II this year. Ya, we meanmuggin', what.
I picked the alien up at the hotel, and we drove over to the location and parked. It was still about 30 minutes from meeting up with the VP of #HOME and so we took a little stroll and checked out the scenery. Around the side of the venue, was this massive mural that was just awesome. I have to put all the pictures side by side so you can grasp the scope of it. It took up the whole side of the building and fence beyond it.

We Are Seeds
It reads: They tried to bury us. Little did they know, We Are Seeds. Kind of an interesting way to start the afternoon. We had to get some shots with us there. It was just too fuk'n cool not to.

The front of the building also had a pretty cool message depicted in the artistry of the formerly called 'graffiti'.

Darren fell in love with the spot from what I can tell. The acoustics and reverb in the place is amazing. He jumped on the old piano and started in on some tune while me and dude chuckled. Then Darren went over and started pounding out some beats on the trapset while I went to discuss other more businessy shit with the dude.
We think you all will like it though. It has a pretty cool setup on the stage and we can plug in graphics to go behind you and there is a sweet lighting system in there. It's got a few different places we can stage up and a kitchenette I probably stash the beer and shit. Very comfortable though. Should be fun.
Budgie?
About this time, our tummies were a grumbling and his red eyes had to eat. Did you get any decent rest by the way man? Shit, I'd of been zonked for a day. But, we went to eat a Greek spot he had scoped out prior called 'Greko'.
I grabbed the Live Fire Tiger Shrimp salad and he got a free range chicken pita. I also ordered up some of that Octopus Souvlaki because, fuck, I love seafood. He'd never had any good pussy before coming to America though! Loved it!

Initially, we were going to chill riverside and enjoy the meal, but couldn't find a place to park. So, we just went back to the hotel and noshed by the pool. About two thirds of the way through my salad, he says: "I'll probably put my budgie smugglers on and hop in later."
I just fuk'n lost it and literally laughed for about five minutes straight as he sat and explained what they were. To make it even funnier, he said something to one of the people in the pool that arrived after and they were like wtf did you say? I said I never heard of 'em either! Good food, good company and smiles. He's a good cat y'all. As per usual, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when an octopus turns me on.
