I went to my hometown Kahramanmaraş for the holiday. Plateau culture in the Mediterranean is very intense. People living in very hot cities such as Antalya Mersin Adana Maraş spend the summer in high mountain areas. In the past, especially those who were engaged in animal husbandry migrated to the plateau with their animals. They mostly set up tents in forest areas and lived in tents. Beekeepers still continue to take their bees to the plateau in order not to be affected by the heat and to collect more flower pollen. The plateau culture of the Mediterranean people actually comes from nomadism. The people living in this region are nomadic people, which we call nomads. You can see nomadic tents made of goat hair in most places in the Mediterranean. There are communities that continue the nomadic life, albeit to a lesser extent. But now people prefer to stay at home on the plateau instead of tents. The main purpose of the highland culture of this time is to spend a cool and oxygen-rich summer. In most of our highlands, you cannot do without a quilt in the summer. In some plateaus, you can even light a stove in the evening. As my daughter said, it's cold here in the summer. If you get up early in the morning, you will have a good sleep. You go outside, take a deep breath, and immediately start to feel cold. On the first day, you feel a little tired due to the high oxygen and altitude. But when the number of red blood cells in your blood begins to increase, your cheeks begin to turn red. It is a small settlement with a small population. People get to know each other. You hear "good morning" sounds from the street in the morning. Around here, you hear the saying "I'm going to the bread, shall I buy you some bread". Neighborhood relations are still warm and cordial.
We got ready as a team at 6 in the morning to visit the çisar plateau, which is most preferred by trekkers. Our team guide was my uncle. I have cousins and friends on the team. Our team is 11 people. We will drive about 30 km of the road. If it is 12 km, we will walk. In the morning, before the alarm clock, I woke up to the voice of the women in the neighborhood making homemade bread. I started the day with a nice flatbread. We also took a few bases with us. The road we go by car, asvalt, any car can come out. This is a road to the forest by the lake. We left the cars and belongings and walked to our first stop. The flora consists of yellow pine and flowers below. This is a road decorated with flowers of all colors, yellow, purple, blue and red. Of course, there are daisy and poppy flowers everywhere. We came across the Melep tree on the way. The fruit of the Melep tree is said to be medicinal. It is believed that you have to eat at least once in your life or pass through the branches of the tree at least once. Our first stop is my friend's highland house. We had a hair roast for lunch here. We picked tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers from the garden. The food was great. After the meal, the tired ones in the team decided to stay here.
The team continued to walk with 8 people. The walking path is straight. Off-road cars are also available. Our target is the fire towers at the top. We started off with songs and jokes. Those who were tired began to say, "Let's go back," when my uncle took us to a wonderful stone hole. And in July there was still snow. Here, snow is eaten with molasses. My uncle took out molasses from the bag surprisingly. The snow we ate there was a great motivation for us to hit the road again. An uncle, who lives in the garden of a house on the way, invited us to have tea. He had brewed tea in the samovar and the tea was great. There are restaurants and places to drink tea downstairs, but not upstairs. After drinking our tea, we continued climbing. The flora here consists mostly of black pine and juniper trees. Steep rocks covered the mountains.
Near our target, Forest officials stopped us and said that we were not allowed to go up as a fire precaution. He went down with us by telling about the fire precautions they took and the memories they lived. Our trip ended early. We decided to go to my uncle's vineyard house for dinner. We all went to the vineyard house. We had a big barbecue party.
Meat of highland animals is very tasty. Because they eat thyme on the mountain, their meat smells like thyme. The prices of the steakhouses here are also reasonable. In terms of taste, it is much better than the expensive restaurants in the city. Salads are a treat in restaurants. You will be satisfied with the pre-dinner treats. Goat meat is generally preferred in the plateau. Here you can eat cutlet, adana kebab, ribs, Maras pan and roasted hair. But the most famous dish of this place is the head-paça soup. Especially in the morning, trotter soup is drunk for breakfast. Restaurants start serving kelle-paça soup early in the morning. If you go at 9 in the morning, it will be over. Motels and hostels to stay are both cheap and clean. For a beautiful and healthy holiday, highland tourism is the most beautiful thing in my opinion.

Trekking yapanlarında en çok tercih ettiği çisar yaylasını gezmek için sabah 6 da ekip olarak hazır olduk. Ekip rehberimiz dayım oldu. Ekipde kuzenlerim ve arkadaşlarım var. Ekibimiz 11 kişi. Yolun yaklasik 30 km arabayla gideceğiz. 12 km ise yürüyeceğiz. Sabah saatin alarmından önce mahallede ki ev ekmeği yapan kadınların sesiyle uyandım. Güne güzel bir bazlama yiyerek başladım. Yanımıza da bir kaç bazlama aldık. Arabayla gittiğimiz yol asvalt her araba çıkabilir. Göl kenarında ormanın için bir yol burası. Arabaları ve eşyaları bıraktık ve ilk durağımıza kadar yürüdük. Flora aşağılarda sarı çam ve çiceklerden oluşuyor. Sarı,mor, mavi kırmızı her renkten çiçekler ile süslenmiş bir yol burası. Tabi heryerde papatya ve gelincik çiçekleri de var. Yolda Melep ağacına rastladık. Melep ağacının meyvesinin şifalı olduğu söylenir. Ömrünüz de en az bir kere yemeniz gerektiğine yada ağacın dalları arasından bir kez olsun geçmeniz gerektiğine inanılır. İlk durağımız arkadaşımın yayla evi. Burada öğle yemeği için saç kavurma yaptık. Bahçeden domates salatalık ve biberler topladık. Yemek harikaydı. Yemekten sonra ekipte yorulanlar burada kalmaya karar verdi.
Ekip 8 kişiyle yürümeye devam etti. Yürüme yolu düzgün. Arazi arabaları da çıkabiliyor. Bizim hedefimiz zirvedeki yangın kuleleri. Şarkılar şakalaşmalar ile yola başladık. Yorulanların dönelim artık demeye başlamışlardı ki dayım bizi harika bir taş kovuğuna götürdü. Ve temmuz ayında hala kar vardı. Bizim buralarda kar pekmezle yenir. Dayım çantadan sürpriz bir şekilde pekmez çıkarttı. Orda yediğimiz kar bize tekrar yola çıkmak için büyük bir motivasyon oldu. Yol üstünde bir evin bahçesinde oturan bir amcam bizi çay içmeye davet etti. Semaverde çay demlemişti ve çay harikaydı. Aşağılarda lokanta ve çay içecek yerler var ama yukarıda yok. Çayımızı ictikten sonra tırmanmaya devam ettik. Buradaki flora daha çok kara çam ve ardıç ağaçlarından oluşuyor. Sarp kayalar dağları kaplamış.
Hedefimize yakın bir yerde Orman görevlileri bizi durdurdu ve yangın tedbiri olarak yukarı cikmamızın yasak olduğunu söyledi. Bizimle beraber aldıkları yangın tedbirlerini ve yaşadıkları anıları anlatarak indi. Gezimiz erken sonlanmış oldu. Bizde akşam yemeği için dayımın bağ evine gitmeye karar verdik. Hep beraber bağ evine gittik. Büyük bir mangal partisi verdik.
Yayla hayvanlarının etleri çok lezzetlidir. Dağ da kekik yediklerinden etleri kekik kokar. Buradaki et lokantalarının fiyatları da uygundur. Lezzet olarak şehirdeki pahalı lokantalardan da çok daha iyidir. Lokantalarda salatalar ikramdır. Yemek öncesi gelen ikramlarla doyarsınız. Yaylada genellikle keçi eti tercih edilir. Burada pirzola, adana kebab, kaburga, Maraş tavası ve saç kavurma yiyebilirsiniz. Ama buranın en meşhur yemeği Kelle-paça çorbasidir. Özellikle sabah kahvaltıda Paça çorbası içilir. Lokantalar sabah erkenden kelle-paça çorbası servisine başlarlar. Sabah 9 da giderseniz bitmiş olur. Kalmak için motel ve pansiyonlar hem ucuz hemde temizdir.Güzel, sağlıklı bir tatil için yayla turizmi bence en güzelidir.

In universty I did presentation about nomad's life and I learnt a lot of things about them after that I liked nomad's life , it might seem a little bit difficult but you can see a lot place , taste very different foods, meet new cultures..
