Hello dear friends of Hive, this is my first participation in this wonderful community Ladies of Hive, I hope you are well.

Here I am to answer one of the questions that corresponds to week 35.

¿What is the strangest food you have ever eaten and how was the experience?

This contest caught my attention and I immediately remembered that some time ago I spent a more or less long time, exactly two years and three months in a town called Las Claritas, in the deepest part of Bolivar state, one of the most beautiful states of my country and therefore one of the most touristic, This town is located within the national park canaima 88 kmt beyond the mining town the callao of the most recognized in the country both for its gold as for its dancing culture, comparsas and calypso their carnivals are comparable to those of the neighboring and very close to that area Brazil which we know are super famous worldwide.

In that part of the national geography there are several Yanomami Indian settlements with whom one interacts daily, they are people with an incredible knowledge about nature, any plant around them has healing qualities and they know them and teach you without any kind of expectation and without expecting anything in return.

Well, one of the experiences that I remember a lot from my stay in this wonderful place was once I was hired by a man, I remember of German nationality, who lived there temporarily for work reasons with his little son of 7 years and the lady who attended them in the house, the man hired me to direct the child in the realization of his daily schoolwork.

The food or let's say better, the food in kilometer 88, as they also call it is quite varied and very natural is very influenced by the indigenous customs, they tend to use a lot of tubers cusechados at home yucca, yams, ocumo, among many other things like auyama, miz, topocho, banana, in general they eat quite healthy.

The most extreme eat insects, larvae, worms, in short. In a breakfast I had in that house or farm (it is more like a farm with a small house) I ate a little animal that we call Bacho culón, Hormiga culona or Mayera. They come out during the rainy season and are collected for consumption, they are very popular because they are not very abundant.

At first I didn't want to try it, it made me sick or disgusted, I don't know, but they insisted so much that I tried it that I ended up trying it but with total indecision, they joked and laughed at me. My big surprise was that what I had tasted was such a rich food, so crunchy, then I did not stop eating it in all the breakfasts I could, with arepa, with cassava, with bread, I even ate it with rice, I really liked that food so strange!!! in fact I want to return to those places to marvel again with its people and its gastronomy.

remember clearly that the way to prepare it was as follows: they separated the animal in two parts and the fattest part was the ass and that is what they put to cook in a very hot pot without adding any fat since it released its own fat and there it was roasting, they added salt, spices and nothing else, they always made it in 2 versions, one spicy and the other not, for all tastes, I said, the taste is divine, it is very similar to the taste of fried pork, but more subtle and healthier of course. I take this opportunity to invite @yusma21 to participate in this wonderful Ladies of Hive contest,
