We have been going through a worldwide pandemic, which has dismayed all of us who live on planet earth, and many of us have lost loved ones, friends and family, and the truth has been a hard blow, but we are here and we have to be grateful for those who are no longer here and live wonderful moments with us and also for those who are and continue to share their lives with us.
hemos estado atravesando una pandemia mundial , que nos a consternado a todos los que vivimos en el planeta tierra , y muchos hemos perdido seres amados , amigos y familia , y la verdad a sido a un golpe duro , pero estamos aqui y tenemos que ser agradecidos por los que ya no están y vivieron maravillosos momentos con nosotros y tambien por los que están y siguen compartiendo su vida a nuestro lado .
So this Christmas has to be of gratitude to life, for allowing us to be here at this time and in this moment. This year, worldwide, social restrictions have been loosened a little, so even though the pandemic persists, we will be able to get together as a family to celebrate this coming new year, with all the hope that good things will come.
Así que estas navidades tienen que ser de agradecimiento a la vida , por permitirnos estar aqui en esta época y en este momento . Este año a nivel mundial se ido liberando un poco las restricciones sociales , así que pesar de que la pandemia persiste , podremos reunirnos en familia para celebrar este año nuevo que viene , con toda la esperanza que vendrán cosas buenas .
One of the questions we always have as a family is whether we are going to travel or not and even more in these dates because as we have a small child, we avoid the risks as much as possible, but our custom has always been to stay at home....
Generally at this time of the year, the city tends to be very busy, so we stay in the tranquility of our home sharing with my family who live nearby, my brothers, my mom, and we spend very pleasant moments.
Una de las interrogantes que tenemos siempre como familia es si vamos a viajar a o no y aun mas en estas fechas por que como tenemos un niño pequeño , evitamos los riesgos a mas no poder, pero nuestra costumbre siempre a sido quedarnos en casa ..
Generalmente en estas fechas , la ciudad tiende a estar muy alborotada , asi que nosotros nos quedamos en la tranquilidad de nuestro hogar compartiendo con mi familia que viven cerca , mis hermanos , mi mama , y pasamos momentos muy amenos .
We always strive to make our home look nice , I am in charge of decorating , and in a very simple but beautiful way we share as a family , we can music , dance and gather to make what we like to eat which are the traditional and very famous Venezuelan Hallacas
Siempre nos esforzamos por que nuestro hogar se vea lindo, yo soy la encargada de la decoracion , , y de una forma muy sencilla pero hermosa compartimos en familia, podemos musica , bailamos y nos reunimos para hacer lo que mas nos gusta comer que son las tradicionales y muy famosas Hallacas Venezolanas .
For my family and all Venezuelans this is a tradition that marks the Christmas season, it is very rare to see a Venezuelan eating hallaca at another time of the year, because we get used to it, that is, we wait all year to close with a flourish.
The hallaca is not just another meal, not at all, it is and represents the family sharing, because here in Venezuela the whole family gathers around a table and everyone participates in the elaboration of the hallaca, either making the dough, or the stew, or maybe chopping the vegetables, or maybe it is simply tying the hallacas with a wick, but there is music, family stories and laughter, so the hallacas taste better with all those ingredients that Venezuelans already know and that have been part of our tradition and culture for many years.
Para mi familia y todos los venezolanos esto es una tradicion que marca la temporada decembrina, es muy raro ver un venezolano comiendo hallaca en otra epoca del año , porque nos acostumbramos a que sea asi , es decir esperamos todo el año para cerrar con broche de oro.
La hallaca no es una comida mas, no para nada , es y representa el compartir familiar , por que aqui en venezuela toda la familia se reune alrededor de una mesa y todos participan en la elaboracion de la hallaca , ya sea haciendo la masa , o el guiso , o tal vez picando los vegetales , o quizas sea simplemente amarrando las hallacas con pabilo , eso si no pude faltar la musica , las historias familiares y las risas , asi es que las hallacas saben mejor con todo esos ingredientes , que los venezolanos ya conocemos y que han formado parte de nuestra tradicion y cultura por muchos años

Hello @giapel86. What a lovely home and family you have. Also, the holiday decorations are very nice. I can understand you wanting to stay close to home during the holidays. Even so, during this pandemic. I've read numerous posts where people do both, travel and stay home.
There seems to be a common threat running throughout the Hallaca making process. It's that of family coming together to make them. This creates a special bond during the holidays. Besides the fact that each family makes them with a few different ingredients, but all turn out amazing as they all say.
