🎀A pink afternoon🎀 - (Esp-Eng)

Como mujeres siempre tenemos compromisos en el hogar, los hijos, el esposo, mantener la casa en orden, realizar los pendientes del trabajo, escuela y pare de contar.

No vemos envueltas en hacer tantas cosas por hacer que nos olvidamos de lo que queremos como mujer y terminamos el día, la semana o el mes muy agotadas.

Como madres, esposas, hijas, hermanas y amigas llevamos una carga que la mayoría del tiempo no podemos sobrellevar, lo que hace que nos sintamos cansadas y que no podemos avanzar.

As women we always have commitments at home, children, husband, keeping the house in order, work, school and so on.

We get caught up in doing so many things that we forget what we want to do as women and we end the day, week or month very exhausted.

As mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends we carry a burden that most of the time we can't cope with, which makes us feel tired and unable to move forward.

¡Hoy! Fue una de esas tardes en las que uno se desconecta de todos esos quehaceres del día a día. Un día diferente en el que el punto central soy yo como mujer.

Esta tarde recibí una invitación muy peculiar por parte de una amiga, me dijo, "te invito a una tarde de café", y yo feliz y encantada pues me fascina tomar café, pensé que sería algo monótono solo allí algunas mujeres y listo.

Me dijo que tenía que estar lista, ya que a las 4:30 pm sería la actividad y que si quería podía llevar algunas invitadas, yo pues decidí llevar a mi suegra y a una vecina, llego la hora y llegamos al sitio.

Today! It was one of those afternoons in which one disconnects from all those daily chores. A different day in which the focus is on me as a woman.

This afternoon I received a very peculiar invitation from a friend, she told me, "I invite you to a coffee afternoon", and I was happy and delighted because I love to drink coffee, I thought it would be something monotonous, just some women there and that's it.

She told me that I had to be ready, since at 4:30 pm would be the activity and if I wanted I could bring some guests, I decided to take my mother in law and a neighbor, the time came and we arrived at the site.

Pará mi sorpresa había muchas mujeres en el sitio, todas muy lindas, arregladas y muy bien perfumadas, realmente una tarde rosa, no había ningún hombre en el sitio, era una zona exclusivamente para mujeres.

Allí nos recibieron con un rico y caliente café negro, el ambiente estaba siendo armonizado por una pianista, nos ubicaron en una mesa redonda con un mantel rosado hermoso, además es mi color favorito y es un color que me conecta a lo fantasioso y a mi lado más sensible y femenino.

To my surprise there were many women in the place, all very pretty, well groomed and very well perfumed, really a pink afternoon, there were no men in the place, it was an area exclusively for women.

There we were welcomed with a rich and hot black coffee, the atmosphere was being harmonized by a pianist, we were placed at a round table with a beautiful pink tablecloth, it is also my favorite color and it is a color that connects me to the fantasy and my more sensitive and feminine side.

Allí pasamos un momento muy agradable, varias mujeres hablaron sobre su día a día y lo agotador que es ser una mujer que cumpla con las exigencias que nos impone la sociedad, y también cumplir los estereotipos sociales.

Hubo mujeres que dieron diferentes charlas, pero las que en lo personal me agradaron fueron, los tips para mantener nuestra belleza, atender un hogar sin vestir como la cachifa, y ¿como hacer a un hombre feliz?.

There we had a very nice time, several women talked about their daily lives and how exhausting it is to be a woman who meets the demands that society imposes on us, and also to meet social stereotypes.

There were women who gave different talks, but the ones that I personally liked were, the tips to maintain our beauty, to take care of a home without dressing like the Maid, and how to make a man happy?.

Además, nos dieron una merienda, para que pudiéramos compartir todas en la mesa, nos conocimos, e intercambiamos ideas referentes a nuestro ser diario como mujer, también hicieron 3 sorteos de unas tazas de café rellenas de golosinas, yo nunca tengo suerte para ganarme algo jajajaja así que no me anime en participar, ¡siempre pierdo! Jajaja.

Lo importante de todo esto es que la pasamos muy muy muy bien, ahhh e importante una de las reglas era asistir sin niños jajajaja no es por ser egoísta ni nada de eso, solo que necesitábamos ese momento solo para nosotras para poder reencontrarnos con cosas importantes que perdemos en el camino como por ejemplo nuestros sueños y deseos más allá de nuestros hijos y esposos, sino esos sueños como mujer.
Dieron micrófono abierto para esas mujeres que necesitaban desahogarse, y una regla fue ¡lo que sucede en la tarde de café, se queda en la tarde de café!.

In addition, they gave us a snack, so we could all share at the table, we met, and exchanged ideas about our daily lives as women, they also made 3 raffles of coffee cups filled with candy, I never have luck to win something hahaha so I did not encourage me to participate, I always lose! hahaha.

The important thing of all this is that we had a great time, ahhh and important one of the rules was to attend without children hahaha not to be selfish or anything like that, just that we needed that moment just for us to be able to reconnect with important things that we lose along the way such as our dreams and desires beyond our children and husbands, but those dreams as a woman.
There was an open microphone for those women who needed to unburden themselves, and one rule was: what happens in the coffee afternoon, stays in the coffee afternoon!

Pasamos una tarde/noche muy agradable, salí de aquel lugar sintiéndome renovada, contenta por la atención, conocí mujeres increíbles y con un poder de superación impresionante y anhelando que este tipo de actividad se multiplique y que pueda tener un mayor alcance, ¡porque vaya que se necesitan!
¡Que sigan esas tardes rosadas!

We spent a very pleasant afternoon/evening, I left that place feeling renewed, happy for the attention, I met incredible women with an impressive power of self-improvement and longing for this type of activity to be multiplied and to have a greater reach, because they are really needed!
May those pink afternoons continue!

Me alegró que leyeras esto porque tuviste la oportunidad de ser invitado a un lugar de reunión tan maravilloso solo para mujeres.
Las mujeres necesitan más espacios seguros para ser ellas mismas y ser honestas sobre sus experiencias sin tener la energía masculina en la habitación.
Creo que es muy importante que dijeran nada de niños porque las mujeres a menudo se sienten culpables por tomarse un tiempo para sí mismas sin cuidar a sus hijos o a su hombre.

Es bueno que la hayas pasado maravillosamente y deberíamos alentar más reuniones como esta con mujeres de mente abierta como una zona libre de juicios.

I felt happy for you reading this that you had the opportunity to be invited to such a wonderful hangout for women only.
Women need more safe spaces to be themselves and be honest about their experiences without having the male energy in the room.
I think it’s really important that they said no kids because women often feel guilty taking time for themselves without caring for their children or their man.

Nice you had a wonderful time and we should encourage more gatherings like this with open minded women as a judgement free zone.
