Puppy is my new little pet, he's only 50 days old and has been in my house for five days, but he already has us all melting with tenderness for him. But before I introduce Puppy, I want to tell you about my history with pets.
¡Hola amigos de LOH! Hacía un tiempo que no me pasaba por aquí, pero no he podido resistirme a la iniciativa de esta semana. Estoy deseando abordar el segundo tema sugerido:
Las mascotas, ¡son parte de la familia! ¿Las mimas, las vistes, las consientes? Si es así, ¿cómo? Comparte una foto de tu mascota mimada.
Puppy es mi nueva y pequeña mascota, sólo tiene 50 días y lleva cinco en mi casa, pero ya nos tiene a todos derretidos de ternura por él. Pero antes de presentarles a Puppy, quiero hablarles de mi historia con las mascotas.
In my childhood and youth, I never wanted to have pets. However, after I had my son, he insisted several times to have one. Although I tried to convince him otherwise, I finally couldn't resist his request in 2020, when my niece left the country and had no one to leave her pet with. Since I had already moved into a little house, I couldn't refuse and so into my life came the great Zidanne, a beautiful, loving and intelligent pit bull.
Zidanne taught us the importance of having a pet at home and the unconditional love they are capable of giving. Unfortunately, he was only with us for 8 months due to a terrible illness that took him away from us. It was very hard and I suffered a lot for his loss. I refused to get another puppy for over a year, but my son again insisted and that is how Puppy came into our lives.
En mi infancia y juventud, nunca quise tener mascotas. Sin embargo, después de tener a mi hijo, él insistió varias veces en tener una. Aunque intenté convencerle de lo contrario, finalmente no pude resistirme ante su pedido en 2020, cuando mi sobrina se fue del país y no tenía con quién dejar a su mascota. Como ya me había mudado a una casita, no pude negarme y así llegó a mi vida el gran Zidanne, un pit bull precioso, cariñoso e inteligente.
Zidanne nos enseñó la importancia de tener una mascota en casa y el amor incondicional que son capaces de dar. Por desgracia, sólo estuvo con nosotros 8 meses debido a una terrible enfermedad que nos lo arrebató. Fue muy duro y sufrí mucho por su pérdida. Me negué a tener otro cachorro durante más de un año, pero mi hijo nuevamente vuelve a insistir y así fue como Puppy llegó a nuestras vidas.
Now it's Puppy's turn!!!! 😍. This is his presentation. As I told you he is a Labrador puppy, he has white fur, light muzzle and blue eyes (although I know this will change, as Labradors don't usually have blue eyes). Since I saw him for the first time I fell in love with him, the same happened to the rest of the family, he is an adorable puppy, haven't you noticed, look at the pictures and you tell me?
The first thing we did was to go shopping and we came back with the basics: a bowl for his food and another one for water, a brush for his white fur, 4 toys (among them a bone and an edible stick) and, of course, a lot of love and care, he is the smallest of our family.
¡¡¡Ahora es el turno de Puppy!!! 😍. Esta es su presentación. Como les dije es un cachorro de Labrador, tiene el pelo blanco, el hocico claro y los ojos azules (aunque sé que esto cambiará, ya que los Labradores no suelen tener los ojos azules). Desde que lo vi por primera vez me enamoré de él, lo mismo le pasó al resto de la familia, es un cachorro adorable, ¿no se han dado cuenta, miren las fotos y ya me dirán?
Lo primero que hicimos fue ir de compras y volvimos con lo básico: un cuenco para su comida y otro para el agua, un cepillo para su pelaje blanco, 4 juguetes (entre ellos un hueso y un palo comestible) y, por supuesto, mucho cariño y cuidados, es el integrante mas pequeño de nuestra familia.
So far, we have been giving him rice porridge with chicken that we put through the blender, but we have already bought puppy food that we will wait until he grows a little more. We also have cookies to reward and discipline him, but that will be later too.
Today we bought him a little blue collar that, although it bothers him a little, I know he will soon adapt and wear it with pride. Isn't it cute?
Puppy has come into our lives to fill them with love and joy. I am excited for all that the future holds and grateful to have him as part of my family. Hasta ahora, le hemos estado dando papilla de arroz con pollo que pasamos por la batidora, pero ya hemos comprado pienso para cachorros que esperaremos a que crezca un poco más. También tenemos galletas para premiarlo y disciplinarlo, pero eso será más adelante también.
Hoy le hemos comprado un collarcito azul que, aunque le molesta un poco, sé que pronto se adaptará y lo llevará con orgullo. ¿A que es mono?
Puppy ha llegado a nuestras vidas para llenarlas de amor y alegría. Estoy emocionada por todo lo que nos depara el futuro y agradecida de tenerlo como parte de mi familia.
