Hi everyone! Just like to share to you our little surprise to our mom last mother's day. I know its too late but I still would like to share this idea that you might use on some events in the future. The prank and idea worked on my mom so I guess your special ones would love this kind of surprise too.
D.I.Y or do it yourself gift.
Every mother's day, most of the people are making surprises for their moms. We used to celebrate the event in different ways. Some are eating and shopping somewhere while some are just buying special gifts like chocolates and flowers. In our family, we decided to just stay home and eat lunch together. Me and my siblings also prepared a little surprise for our mama.

On Wednesday, I created a GC with my siblings to ask them what they plan for our Mom. Some wanted to buy a bouquet of flowers but it seems so common as we always give her flowers on her birthdays. Our mom really loves plants so an idea came and we quickly planned for it.
PLAN: Pranking her with fake flowers in a vase where she can pull money inside it.
On Thursday, we basically roamed around to look for fake flowers and sand but we failed. We weren't able to find one so we switched to plan B. We just bought a vase and marbles for an alternative to sands.
PREPARATION
Friday after work, we started with the paper bills. This is a DIY version of what we usually see in social media. Haha. Low budget and we wanted to make it ourselves to make it extra special. :)
We used plastic for ice and put scotch tape behind it to make the bill fit to it. And then to attach it from one another, we used this technique.
Measure the size of the vase inside so we can make a stand to make a space for the money. To make a stand, cut a used box/carton exactly the size measured. Then use a glue stick then paste it in the square box. Create a rectangular hole on it so you can pass through the money from the bottom.
To cover what's inside, I just printed a grass photo and paste on the box. This is to make an illusion which is effective because Mom asked if the grass is real and where did we get it.
And now that we finished the vase, for the top display since we didn't have a fake flower, we just edited a photo of my mother and made it a superhero. I cut it and put it in a piece of box and we pasted the other side in the money. So when she pulls her photo, it'll be followed by surprise.
Lastly, the marbles we bought are placed around the picture to cover the hole and to make it look like a plain vase. This is how it looks.
I also printed these in addition for our pictures the next day. We also have roses and letters for her, all the family members wrote something that would make here cry I guess. ;)
Tadaaa! This is the finished product of all our efforts and ideas.

Happy mother's day to every moms in here! I do hope you're all good and my God strengthen you for you battles in life just like my mom. If I have a list of all the people I admire, my mom would probably fill the half of it. I maybe not so showy and sweet most of the time but my love and care for here is just as huge as how I am filled right now. I guess this surprise gift and all isn't really matter for her, I know what matters the most is that we are all in the same roof having chit-chats with each other. I know deep inside her heart that she's smiling not because of the gifts but because we are here.
Making gifts doesn't need to be pricey and fancy. What matters the most is our showing our gratitude and good hearts by any means. Let our Parents feel how important and special they are everyday.

What a nice detail for your mommy, I am glad that you have made her spend such a special day, your words moved me, I am a mother and my older children have been one in Chile for 4 years and the other in Colombia, that is why I affirm that what made your mom happier is having them on the same roof :( and the detail of placing her as a super hero was the best, I was still crying at least, God bless you for being aware of your parents, it is good to make them feel that they are important for your life I congratulate you and your sisters.

Awwww. Belated happy mother's day! Just really grateful that I am still with my Mom and will spend the most out of it memorable.
