Ladies of Hive Community Contest #17: Migración: la vida mas allá de las fronteras / Migration, life beyond the homeland.

Greetings to this appreciated community, in this opportunity to participate again in this excellent initiative of Ladies of hive, which allows us to give our opinion on such important topics that involve all of us in this planet. I invite @maxjulisgf to participate.

Después de leer las dos preguntas, me incliné por dar respuesta a la segunda en un tema que siento muy cercano y que me afecta sensiblemente.

After reading the two questions, I was inclined to answer the second one on a subject that I feel very close to me and that affects me sensitively.

Hay tantas cosas en el mundo que son crueles o injustas. ¿Qué te rompe el corazón y cómo intentarías cambiar el mal si pudieras hacer algo al respecto?

There are so many things in the world that are cruel, unfair, or unjust. What breaks your heart and how would you try to change the wrong if you could do something about it?

La necesidad que tienen muchas personas de salir de su país de origen buscando una esperanza de vida en otros lugares a veces lejanos, con otra cultura, otro idioma, debido a problemas culturales, religiosos, políticos o económicos es una situación que me parte el corazón, porque lo hacen obligados por las circunstancias, huyendo, sin saber como serán recibidos.

The need for many people to leave their country of origin in search of a hope of life in other places, sometimes far away, with another culture, another language, due to cultural, religious, political or economic problems is a situation that breaks my heart, because they do it forced by circumstances, fleeing, without knowing how they will be received.

Enfrentarse al rechazo de las personas a donde llegan debe ser muy doloroso, que te impidan continuar el camino debido a restricciones que imponen los países que si bien se justifican desde el punto de vista de mantener un control, para la persona que se encuentra en ese limbo, debe ser desesperante no tener a donde ir. En algunos casos los deportan poniendo en riesgos sus vidas o los detienen como si fueran delincuentes, eso me da mucha indignación.

Facing the rejection of the people where you arrive must be very painful, being prevented from continuing your journey due to restrictions imposed by the countries that, although justified from the point of view of maintaining control, for the person who is in this limbo, it must be desperate to have nowhere to go. In some cases they deport them putting their lives at risk or detain them as if they were criminals, that makes me very indignant.

La fortaleza y la fé los hacen continuar a pesar de todo lo que se los impide. Caminan muchos kilómetros, con pocos recursos, muchas familias con hijos pequeños que apenas pueden soportar tanto esfuerzo. Algunos se han ido solos , otros con amigos para poder ayudarse mutuamente. Otros arriesgan sus vidas y las de sus hijos atravesando el mar en condiciones muy precarias.

Strength and faith keep them going despite all that hinders them. They walk many kilometers, with few resources, many families with small children who can hardly bear so much effort. Some have gone alone, others with friends in order to help each other. Others risk their lives and those of their children crossing the sea in very precarious conditions.

Cada vez que veo o leo alguna noticia de rechazo a las personas que huyen por todas las razones que ya mencione, me dan ganas de llorar.

Every time I see or read any news of rejection of people fleeing for all the reasons I have already mentioned, it makes me want to cry.

Creo que un factor determinante en esta problemática son los convenios internacionales, aunque es un problema difícil de abordar, estos no son permanentes. Entre todos los países afectado se pueden buscar alternativas que beneficien tanto al migrante como al país que los recibe, siempre que se haga de manera coordinada.

I believe that a determining factor in this problem are the international agreements, although these are difficult problems to address, they are not permanent. All the countries involved can look for alternatives that benefit both the immigrant and the receiving country, as long as this is done in a coordinated manner.

Hay que sensibilizar a todas las personas sobre la necesidad de ayudar y en esta tarea, los medios de comunicación tienen un papel primordial. Yo he leído comentarios por las redes sociales sobre casos específicos de países que han recibido muchos refugiados y así como hay personas que tratan de ayudar, los reciben con alimento, agua y los ayudan a movilizarse, también hay otras personas que los agreden, no entienden por lo que ellos están pasando, se sienten amenazados y el egoísmo y la falta de sensibilidad los hace reaccionar de esa manera tan cruel.

We must raise awareness among all people about the need to help and in this task, the media have a key role to play. I have read comments on social networks about specific cases of countries that have received many refugees and just as there are people who try to help, receive them with food, water and help them to transport, there are also other people who attack them, do not understand what they are going through, they feel threatened and selfishness and lack of sensitivity makes them react in such a cruel way.

Para finalizar creo que la mejor solución sería que los países con problemas tan graves, donde gran parte de su población decide emigrar puedan con la ayuda de otras naciones superar esta problematica y esto no debería verse como injerencia en los asuntos internos porque nos atañe a todos, es la manera de solucionar las cosas buscando las razones que obligan a las personas a huir de sus países de origen.

To conclude, I believe that the best solution would be for countries with such serious problems, where a large part of their population decides to emigrate, to overcome this problem with the help of other nations and this should not be seen as interference in internal affairs because it concerns us all, it is the way to solve things by looking for the reasons that force people to flee their countries of origin.

Las fotografías que acompañan a esta publicación son de mi hija @maggfuchs, quien como muchos jóvenes de Venezuela, salieron por esas fronteras en búsqueda de oportunidades para seguir sus sueños y ayudar a los que aun permanecemos en nuestro país. Ese camino ha sido duro pero al mismo tiempo los ha fortalecido y se han encontrado con personas que les han tendido la mano, que los han ayudado a tolerar la soledad y muchas veces la desesperanza, esas personas que comprenden que estamos en este mundo para ayudar y hacer el bien.

The photographs accompanying this publication were taken by my daughter @maggfuchs, who like many young people from Venezuela, left across these borders in search of opportunities to follow their dreams and help those of us who still remain in our country. That road has been hard but at the same time it has strengthened them and they have met people who have reached out to them, who have helped them to tolerate loneliness and often hopelessness, those people who understand that we are in this world to help and do good.
