Welcome to my blog... Once again it is a pleasure to participate in another weekly contest of this #LadiesOfHive community by showing you my opinion on a topic that I consider very important: the role of women in society yesterday and today. Here we go.
¿Qué opina de la forma en que se ha tratado a las mujeres en el pasado, y cómo se trata a las mujeres ahora?
What are your thoughts on the way women have been treated
in the past, and how women are being treated now?
Previously, women only "served" to take care of the housework, procreation and childcare, to be a wife or mother and even had to ask the opinion of the man, whether father or husband, on any circumstance, decision or situation for its approval and later its execution. They had lower salaries and positions than men. While women who rebelled against this stereotype were frowned upon, even considered adulteresses and rebels. Thank God the word evolution exists. Many women raised their voices and even gave their lives for what we have today: rights, participation and more respect. Muslim countries like Qatar or orthodox Communist countries like North Korea may be radically extremist and not flexible about the role of women in society, but I am grateful to have been born, developed and live in a free country and in other times in spite of the problems of different kinds that our society is facing today.
Although we have struggled with stereotypes, women are still considered as objects, whether sacred or for pleasure, but in any case they are no longer totally dependent on the men around them, since although few, many of them now consider that they can make their own decisions because they are not the weak, submissive and spineless sex that many still consider them to be. They even support our actions and decisions.
One of the oldest practices, I am talking about courtship; consisted of picking up the handkerchief that the lady dropped. That is to say, if the woman crossed in the street with someone she liked, she would drop her handkerchief as a sign of approval, if the man reciprocated she would pick it up. WHATS? I've seen The Bridgertons series and despite how pretty and ostentatious the era was, I hated the fact that you had to present yourself to society as meat on offer in order to find a "decent" husband. Today, history is written differently: women can marry and divorce without fear of being frowned upon. We have the right to be happy and if we do not feel comfortable with our partner, it is time for each of us to look for the best accommodation. And much less endure abuse or stay in a relationship where there is no longer love just for the children and even then you still see some cases.
Today, our protagonism and empowerment has been achieved thanks to those women who have not given up for a second until they have achieved their goals for the common good: our rights and our inclusion in society. I greatly admire all those women who struggle every day to raise their children as single mothers, those who exalt the professional guild by putting their social or family life before the improvement of progress in any field, those women who respect and extol the virtues of others, and above all those who do not rest to achieve their goals and dreams.
My favorite phrase is "Dreaming is the beginning to materialize". Thanks to the dreamer that I am, I have achieved all my proposed goals and I have gradually fulfilled my dreams. I am a true believer that the word is POWER and that what you decree with faith will be fulfilled if you don't stop working to achieve it. From recreating and building a didactic module for the physical and chemical treatment of water for my university, to being able to travel to another continent for work, no dream is impossible if you have a lot of faith.
As I am about to become the mother of a boy, I will do my best to instill good values in my son so that he respects women and, above all, that he is a complete being who does not think he is special because he is a man: that he learns that washing the dishes, cleaning the house and cleaning are not the exclusive tasks of a woman. They are the responsibilities of any human being who must learn to do everything without the need to derive roles from being a man or a woman.

Women got bad treatment it's getting better in many places but still a long way to go
Yes, we must continue to improve as a Society. But even though it is not much, the improvement is noticeable compared to years ago. Best regards.@bitcoinman
