Flowers and People

[silversaver888]

In the "urban meadow" close to home, there is this bush of flowers. Its flowers are not perfectly shaped, like orchids or tulips.

The petals are not neatly arranged the way flowers are admired for. Nor are they scented, the way jasmine or roses are.

They are very much like me and most of the people around. We are not at all perfect.

But it is okay to the rough around the edges. It's okay if you feel awkward at times.

It's even okay if you are scarred, or broken or bruised.

Isn't it weird... how some people can make you feel? It's so draining that you feel so tired after listening to them. They leave you feeling shriveled up!

Yet, and most of the time, people are easy. It feels so light being around them. They appreciate your passion, they have words of joy, they are optimistic.

What is funny is that often times... the awkward, the broken and bruised... are the same people who see the sunny side of things, and have brighter outlooks in life.

Some people are just eternally thankful, while others are never satisfied.

I think if we try...

that we can be not perfect, but be always beautiful.

Isn't beauty always in the eyes of the beholder? Without it being generated by a person or people, there would be nothing to compare it to, so there would be no beauty. Even trends are created that way. Look at NFTs! They would have been laughed off the internet ten years ago.

If someone that influential decided those flowers were the right way to grow, the others would merely exist instead of being compared.

I have to say that everything is beautiful, in its own way.

It's a good thing there is beauty in brokenness, because we are all broken at least a little I think, well, I say that and yet I don't believe there is a perfection, so if there is no perfection, how can anyone be broken ???

I think I just made a claim and undid it all in the same sentence....LOL....

Things happen that leave scars. Some focus on the scars and can't see all the rest that is still beautiful. Others though after healing, put the scars away and enjoy all the wonderfulness that is still here.

I love wildflowers. Sometimes I have seen where a house was demolished years before and yet some of the flower beds were still blooming in a wild kind of way years later.

In optical, I rarely see a patient that has a symmetrical pupillary distance (distance between the eyes) I do see a few now and again, but not as much as the other. I think that if we were all perfectly symmetrical, then the world would be a boring place! One of the ladies in hive mentioned how she suffered in the hand of her playmates due to unusual distance between her eyes. Long story short, she loves her eyes now, and she thinks it made here look prettier.
