Wednesday Walk: Guo Pei's Couture Fantasy, Part 1

Yesterday, I visited the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco to view the exhibit of Guo Pei.

I wore a mask the entire time masks are no longer required but strongly recommended. I purchased an audio tour, and the exhibit was fantastic and mind-blowing!

Guo Pei grew up during China’s Cultural Revolution, dreaming of beautifully embroidered dresses.

As she grew up, she did produce ingenious and delicate embroidery on clothes which was presented on runways across the globe.

fashion, theater, sculpture, and performance.

I to wear a mask if I am somewhere where it has plenty of people, so I guess most times I go into a supermarket or pharmacy which are about the only indoor places I go these days LOL

It is important, I think, to wear a mask in public places. I shall wait for a while before I totally remove my mask in public. However, during gatherings in the house, my friends remove their mask... I do know they are like me in public places. But I am still paranoid!!!

Very fine craftsmanship @silversaver888 , was this a very crowded event my friend? Always good to be careful being in a crowd and wearing a mask. For now I think the virus has run its course where we live.......

The museum itself is very large. There were lots of people, but spread all over. Some were in the coffee shop, some in the store, some in other exhibits (permanent ones), actually there were three exhibits on going. This is what I miss a lot in San Francisco! It is so peaceful in that place. A quiet place despite the many, many people. And outside is overlooking the Golden Gate bridge, @silvertop 👍😁!
The museum just reopened after being temporarily close last year.
