Hola querida comunidad! || Hello dear community!

Hola Hivers!

Hello Hivers! I hope you are feeling wonderful and that your day has been very productive, I am feeling excellent thank God, once again I am joining this weekly contest of this beautiful community dedicated to strong women, warriors, entrepreneurs and with a lot to prove here in Hive, this time answering the following questions: Do you know how to be an effective advocate for your loved one or friend when faced with a mental health problem? Do you know how to respond, who to turn to for help? Have you ever faced such a challenge? and Romance scams are on the rise, and anyone can be a target. Scammers create fake profiles on dating sites and apps, or contact their targets through popular social networks like Instagram and Facebook. They strike up a relationship with their victims and build trust, sometimes for months or even years. In the end they ask for money, often pretending they need it for medical bills, travel expenses or unexpected emergencies. What will you do to avoid becoming a victim of online dating scams.

Before I begin my participation I would like to invite @dimeshana and @bluevibes to join in as well!

😓 Do you know how to be an effective advocate for your loved one or friend when faced with a mental health issue? Do you know how to respond, who to turn to for help? Have you ever faced such a challenge?

Yes, thank God I know how to deal with it, I really like to follow psychology content because you learn to improve, overcome, forgive and it gives you tools to help others, I have two people very close to me who suffer from depression, how can I help in this case? It is not easy but you can, the first thing is not to judge, not to give solutions, just be and support, make the affected person understand that you are there to be supportive, to feel accompanied and loved, the second thing is to offer to seek help, tell them that they are not alone, that they can count on you when they decide to go for professional help, and finally always but always remind them how valuable they are! Since they are not able to see their own virtues, it is important to give them love, support and remind them that they are wonderful people and that their life is important.

💔 What will you do to avoid becoming a victim of online dating scams?

My current dating is a product of the internet, my boyfriend and I met through an application to generate income through twitter, after starting to establish conversations and realize how much we liked each other we decided to meet, we both lived in different states, to be exact 6 hours away, today we have 1 year and 6 months living together and happy, now, how did I know it was not a scam? How could I identify that Chris was real?

  • Thanks to a documentary I know that the first thing to do is to put the name of the person, photos and even phrases with the word "dating scammer" in the internet search engine, so you can go discarding the doubt.

  • Video calls, yes, it is very important to be able to make video calls in places where there is good lighting and internet, so you can see his face, gestures, way of talking and smiling.

  • If it is too perfect to be true it should be worrying, people are imperfect and that's fine, not agreeing on some things, that this person gives information about her as well as you, that everything is equal is a good sign.

  • Finally, if a real date takes place, I make sure that it is in a public place, it is more normal than it seems that in these dates or online meetings they turn out to be completely different people physically.

This is what I would do, but, to realize a possible scammer or scammer is something complicated, they are usually people who do not give many details of his life, who do not make video calls and suddenly need some money, sometimes if they get to scam even if they have made video call or have had appointments, therefore it is better to prevent knowing people in your city or friends of your acquaintances.

I think just being there for a friend who's having a hard time right now is really one od the effective way. Knowing that they have have someone to turn into is very assuring. As for that dating scams, they are everywhere right now, yes video call is very important if we want to know them. But atill, be careful too coz there are some who will really make you believe that they are a good people but we don't know they are actually wearing a mask. That is kind of scary, gosh.
