Las fiestas tienen que ver con la tradición ¿Cuál es su tradición navideña familiar más preciada? Cuéntanos sobre eso, ¿Cómo surgió y por qué es especial para ti?
La verdad no sé por donde empezar porque todo lo que vivo en el mes es una tradición, desde el armado de los adornos de la casa hasta que recibimos el nuevo año.
Adornar la casa Desde que tengo memoria mi madre me ha inculcado que, al llegar estas fechas, había que ponernos alegres a pesar de las circunstancias y ser creativos, por ello siempre hemos creado desde cero los adornos navideños. En especial el arbolito de navidad.

The holidays are all about tradition. What is your most treasured family Christmas tradition? Tell us about it, how did it come about and why is it special to you?
The truth is I don't know where to start because everything I live in the month is a tradition, from the assembly of the decorations in the house until we receive the new year.
Decorating the house Since I can remember my mother has instilled in me that, when these dates arrived, we had to be happy despite the circumstances and be creative, that is why we have always created Christmas decorations from scratch. Especially the Christmas tree.

Lo primero que hacemos es buscar un pedazo de árbol seco, le quitamos las hojas y pintamos con pintura blanca de caucho o agárranos una tapa de ventilador y lo limpiamos y pintamos de igual manera. Colocamos el soporte de un ventilador viejo que tenemos y allí tenemos una base sencilla.
Después agarramos pabilos y amarramos varios de estos para perder hacer lacitos y bombones junto a las luces.
The first thing we do is find a piece of dry tree, we remove the leaves and paint with white rubber paint or grab a fan cover and clean and paint it in the same way. We put the support of an old fan that we have and there we have a simple base.
Then we grab wicks and tie several of these to lose making bows and chocolates next to the lights.
El apoyo de nuestros gatos es muy importante, el apoyo moral.
Alrededor del arbolito colocamos un pequeño nacimiento con ovejitas, casitas y demás.

Es un día muy super especial para mí y mi familia donde brindamos y deseamos las buenas nuevas, rezamos por un año más, lleno de éxito y esperanzas. Donde contamos regresivamente desde 100 hasta los 3...2...1...
Abrazar a mis bebes y pedirles perdón por todo el ruido y contaminación que nosotros los humanos causamos a su hogar y que le llamamos tierra. Porque si, pienso que lo que tomamos y destruimos es casa de ellos (Los animales) y no de nosotros.
Y este año rezaré por todas las personas que murieron de COVID 19 y los que están luchando contra el, los doctores y enfermeros, los bomberos, los policías, por los cerrados y abiertos de mente, por el malo y el bueno, por la comunidad LBGT, por todo ser vivo que tenga derecho a vivir.

The support of our cats is very important, moral support.
Around the tree we place a small nativity scene with little sheep, little houses and others.

It is a very super special day for me and my family where we toast and wish the good news, we pray for another year, full of success and hope. Where we count down from 100 to 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
Hug my babies and apologize for all the noise and pollution that we humans cause to your home and that we call earth. Because yes, I think that what we take and destroy is their (the animals) house and not ours.
And this year I will pray for all the people who died of COVID 19 and those who are fighting against it, the doctors and nurses, the firefighters, the police, for the closed and open minded, for the bad and the good, for the community LBGT, for every living being that has the right to live.

Hello @yilibeth. I love that you made your own tree. I had never heard of stripping the leaves and painting it. The outcome is lovely. It doesn't matter whether you have a traditional full-size live tree, it's the thought that counts and that you will celebrate with family your own traditions and memories you make.
