On the surface it will look and feel like everyone got a raise. Due to the fact there's no sizeable paying audience to curate for, no money comes in the door to pay for those rewards. Could post blank pages, perform the same functions, and get the same result many applaud.

That's why we need crowds of new users. Even the rather passive ones, who don't publish (much) themselves.
Yes. Simplified, I call them brands. Brands creating communities. Majority of those interested in the brand would be here to support it and engage. Curators also play a role but act more like promoters. That 25% "loss" is negated due to consumer buying pressure.
