Hahahaha not really true, not down south anyway. Mosquitos, yes. We get used to spiders and they aren't a major issue. You learn to tap your boots before putting them on and in long grass, you stomp to scare snakes. But I was more threatened by wasps and nettles in Europe.

Oh, so the south is more or less like Ecuador - something could kill you, but you have to look for it or be incredibly careless? Or do you just don't have any deadly stuff hanging out around you?
