About our guest @lordbutterfly 🌟
For Episode 47, Hive Thrive Community Hour is welcoming our guest, @lordbutterfly. You may also know him as Damir, who is someone many Hive users know as a thinker, experimenter, and occasional stirrer of big ideas about where the Hive ecosystem could go next.
Over his eight years on the chain, he’s been involved in projects sitting at the crossroads of technology, culture, and cross-chain DeFi. He’s closely associated with the project formerly known as @vsc.network, now evolving into @magi.network, which explores how Hive accounts and identity might connect with smart contracts and cross-chain systems.
But his interests don’t stop at infrastructure. He was executive producer of the Freechain documentary, which tells the story of a truly decentralized community. As a designer, he’s currently developing the Hive Watch — a luxury timepiece inspired by the chain itself.
He also served as lead organizer of @hivefest -9 in Split, Croatia, welcoming the global Hive community to his home country.
So with @lordbutterfly, we’ll be exploring his projects, discussing his take on where Hive's headed, and pondering questions about the chain that may make you put down your snack and listen a bit closer. We hope to see you there!
