What's up Hive brothers! Here a little late! I know it doesn't come in a timely manner, but since I had already done it I wanted to share it with you! Regardless of entering the curation or giveaway prizes.
Before the official international HiveMeetup resources were passed on to us I was preparing the posters on my own by coordinating with janeth who thought the idea was great, so I got to work.
Que tal hermanos de Hive! Acá un poco atrasado! Sé que no llega en tiempo y forma, pero como ya lo había hecho quería compartirlo con ustedes! Sin importar entrar en la curación o los premios del sorteo.
Antes de que nos pasen los recursos oficiales del HiveMeetup internacional yo estaba preparando la cartelería por mi cuenta coordinando con Janeth a quien la idea le pareció estupenda, así que me puse manos a la obra.

Janeth diligently sent me the image of a banner used in another country's exhibition so, having the format as inspiration, I set myself to the task.
I wanted to keep the essence of the poster exhibited at the meetup, but add some subtle details to give it some Argentine identity, plus my own identity as a creator, something inevitable.
With my designs I tend to get carried away. From Hive I had already digitized both the logo and the font, so I saved myself that previous step and I could focus on the creative part.
Janeth diligentemente me envió la imágen de una lona utilizada en la exhibición de otro país así que teniendo el formato como inspiración me aboque a la tarea.
Quería mantener la esencia del cartel exhibido en el meetup, pero agregarle algún detalle sútil para darle algo de identidad Argentina, más la propia como creador, algo inevitable.
Con mis diseños suelo dejarme llevar. De Hive ya tenía digitalizados tanto el logo como la fuente, por lo que me ahorré ese paso previo y pude enfocarme en la parte creativa.
On the one hand, I filled the Hive logo with the colors of the Argentine flag, I was satisfied with the result, I thought that the red would not combine with the blue and light blue but it did not, so I continued playing on the canvas.
Por un lado, rellené el logo de Hive poniendo los colores de la bandera argentina, quedé satisfecho con el resultado, pensé que el rojo no combinaría con el azul y celeste pero no fue así por lo que continué jugando en el lienzo.

The poster I was playing with had a straight band both below and on top. I thought it looked nice, but in my mind it looked different so I decided to shorten them by 25%
Make them rounded edges and mirror their orientations. I thought it created an interesting asymmetrical effect so I left it and kept exploring.
El cartel con el que jugaba tenia una banda recta tanto debajo como arriba. En mi mente se veía de otra manera asi que decidí acortarlas un 25% , hacerles bordes redondeados y espejarlas.
Me pareció que creaba un efecto asimétrico interesante asi que lo dejé y seguí explorando.

I still had to make it explicit that it was the Meetup in Argentina. So I decided to use a nice calligraphic font and write the name legibly, but subtly. It seemed to have the effect I wanted, but it still lacked something
Aún me faltaba explicitar que era el Meetup de Argentina. Asi que decidí usar una bonita letra caligráfica y escribir el nombre legible, pero sútil. Me pareció que surtía el efecto que quería, pero aún le faltaba algo.
Demasiado sobrio y vacío, todo lo contrario a lo que sentía.
It was there when I noticed that the bar at the bottom could well be a floor, so an imposing obelisk represents much more the transcendental of the future meeting.
Fue allí cuando noté que la barra de la parte inferior bien podría ser un suelo, por lo que un imponente obelisco representa mucho más lo trascendental del futuro encuentro.
Janeth suggested wrapping the obelisk in a flag which I thought was great. But we got the files from the original meetup so it didn't make sense to add it, it wasn't a simple process; otherwise I would have done it anyway.
I still think the result is still great!

Janeth me sugirió envolver el obelisco en una bandera lo que me pareció estupendo. Pero conseguimos los archivos del meetup original asi que no tenía sentido agregarla, no era un proceso simple; sino lo habria hecho de todas maneras.
Aún asi creo que el resultado sigue siendo estupendo!

Me encanta el que lleva el obelisco de Buenos Aires, sin dudas en un símbolo de todo el país y ha visto pasar los grandes acontecimientos de la historia de Argentina. Además, un obelisco significa fortaleza que es algo que caracteriza a la comunidad de #Hive global.
Totalmente! Un invitado de lujo para mi cartel! Se me pasaron por la mente otras opciones pero el obelisco quedó hermoso!
A veces no se sobre que escribir, pero ya con poder diseñar algo soy inmensamente feliz!
