Many know and enjoy using Ecency Points. We have few things in pipeline about new use cases. More on that in later posts, here in this post we want to mention that we just sent all Point sales in HIVE and HBD to DHF.
We made it easy to purchase Points with HIVE and HBD as well as with credit card. Because we want everyone to be able to promote content on Ecency.com. One of the most common request in our inboxes are usually about sponsoring and promoting content on our website. And while we don't do that, we have system that allow everyone to do that themselves. Points are easiest way for people to advertise and promote content and services on Ecency.com. With more currencies and tokens support, ability to purchase Points will be much easier with other cryptos. It will take time to have proper backend infrastructure in place to offer it in scale we want, so we will get there.
Now more than $3000 worth of Hive tokens send to DHF. This is a return/profit to blockchain in a way. If we manage to make it attractive and scale it, things will change for sure.

Try writing so many meaningful and engaging comments under other people's posts. This is the main problem with this platform. A lot of people focus on their own posts, instead of helping, supporting and working together with other people.
You only have 5 followers. Maybe work on improving that. Engaging with other people tends to help.

I really appreciate the work you do, you have created something special. I recently discovered Ecency, but I am using it a lot, I also bought some points. These days, however, I am having problems, my boosts to the posts have not started but the points have decreased. Will it settle down? Thanks.
The Points Boosting feature requires usually up to 24 hours to be either approved (where your post is curated) or rejected (where your Ecency Points are refunded). In the meantime after you made your Boosting request, the Ecency Points are held by @ecency.

I think it may now more decentralised with the ecency poimtd and dhf, its also growing day by day in a row with supporting the community and its users.
This is good news. I was hoping that ecency will have sorting by hastag or category in the app in the future. As for my blog at the momment, I do game, photography, and some random stuff. I wish that this can be put in some specific category to make it easier to navigate between blog post.

It's very confusing, I have weird notes about this place.
If there is a 0ay to play scheme going on with Splinterlands that would be the easy and obvious reason for so much distortion of the rewards pool.
They claim higher quality posts but I don't know what could be higher quality in 2021 that sharing human rights tribunals that concern major GDP nations who will be investing in hive potentially.
I thought you were playing #Splinterlands (using your Hive account you used to comment here) when you mentioned their really unusual Rewards Pool.
I also don't know where to use all these #Ecency Points, now that the Ecency team recently rejected all my Boosting requests, even if the posts and comments I requested to be Boosted are more than 1,000 characters, original, and at least good quality.

I don't think that the #Ecency Points system is "broken" - I just see the Boosting Feature extremely strict right now. The Promote Feature works as usual, and an Ecency user don't need their post to be manually reviewed before being curated (unless their previous promoted post or comment has been taken off for being spam, scam, or illegal content).

I am waiting for those. I am very curious about what they could be. Nowadays I use Ecency points mostly to promote my posts. It helps a little with visibility.
If I can recommend a new use case, then I would be happy for the possibility to convert/exchange Ecency Points straight to Hive Power. That would help a lot of people to build their accounts.

This is a great initiative, and I am sure that the hive community can make use of those funds through the DHF. One question I had is that I keep accumulating points from a delegation, but can't seem to use them because my boosts always get rejected. They aren't spam posts, so how do I get feedback, on the reasons why? Also do you have a discord server?

There was concern from few people thinking that buying points is like buying vote, so by sending back sale tokens to hive.fund which fund our Ecency proposal is best way to return something back to community.

Good news. I think that an exency token would be so useful, it could even be the ecency points, having greater possibilities of use. To promote content is amazing, nothing to add. For upvote it is very variable, if there was a way to guarantee the votes it would help a lot in the medium and long term financial organization. DEX, be able to exchange points for hive, use in the Hive ecosystem and can use it to buy NFT's in the Hive itself. There are many possibilities! thanks for the Ecency! best hive dapp!
I've tried to boost posts twice and had funds returned.
This usually happens if curators are not able to review post within first 24 hours. Volume of boosts growing and we are trying to make sure all requests are reviewed. Also try boosting posts in their first day of publishing.
That's unfortunate, past week there has been increase in volume of boosts. Try again...
I'd tell him to actually promote his posts to people, but he muted me :) Seems he's actually ashamed of using Hive as he didn't want to mention it on his Youtube. So you can tell I have little sympathy.
All I want is for Hive to do well and for rewards to go to those who deserve them. Nobody is automatically entitled to rewards from the limited daily pool. If all you do is buy votes and have little interest in helping anyone else or promoting Hive then why do you deserve rewards? I see you post to St--mit too, but they don't care over there about people buying votes, so do what you want there.
The 'plagiarism' issue was simply about you proving that the videos were yours as we have plenty of people trying to earn with content they did not create. You kicked up such a fuss over doing that, but it seems fundamental. Even if you don't care about others earning from your content, some of us do. Not a 'witch hunt', just making Hive better. We don't want it to get a bad reputation.
It is up to @ecency how they vote and I am sure plenty of people want to use their services. Maybe there is just more competition for votes now.
I'm not a gamer or interested in such videos, but others may be and they may think your posts have value. If you actively promoted them you could do better. With a larger fanbase you could earn more than you do from ecency. Your choice.
