You've said it, the point isn't to QUIT it's just adjust, fix up your strategy and take control.
About having two post ideas, I think it's happened to me, it happened a lot of times and probably happens to a lot of people, and at the end we probably go with the post idea by drawing a scale of preference.
As for the market, it feels like it leaves the predictions of the gurus in the dust, and perhaps when everyone is tired of predicting, then it'll begin to happen
