La Banda 17 miró cada una de las partituras que estaban sobre la mesa y Michelle fue la primera en hablar y dijo —Aceptamos— Richard tradujo sus palabras y los músicos ingleses se rieron como para agradecer y el ambiente en esa sala cambió por completo, ya que lo que comenzó como una reunión se transformó en una idea que podía cambiar el destino para la Banda. Lucas preguntó —Que viene ahora—mientras que uno de ellos ingleses respondió —Let's go to the studio—
Luego de allí se fueron para el gran estudio y todos quedaron sorprendidos, puesto que había varias guitarras colgadas en las paredes, teclados de última generación, baterías iluminadas por luces y una gigantesca consola de grabación llena de botones y pantallas. Michelle dijo —Nunca había visto algo así— seguidamente los músicos ingleses comenzaron a preparar todo y comentaron —La canción tiene que tener tenga energía desde el primer segundo y un estilo un que nadie pueda olvidar—
Lucas tomó una guitarra tocó algunos acordes y uno de los ingleses tomó otra guitarra y lo acompañó, donde ambos estilos comenzaron a mezclarse. Seguidamente, Michelle comenzó a tararear una melodía improvisada, siendo una melodía tenía algo especial. Richard seguía disfrutando y traduciendo al mismo tiempo, donde todos estaban disfrutando.
Banda 17 looked at each of the sheet music pieces on the table, and Michelle was the first to speak, saying, “We accept.” Richard translated her words, and the English musicians laughed in acknowledgment; the atmosphere in the room changed completely, as what had started as a meeting turned into an idea that could change the band’s destiny. Lucas asked, “What’s next?” while one of the English musicians replied, “Let’s go to the studio.”
From there, they went to the huge studio, and everyone was surprised to see several guitars hanging on the walls, state-of-the-art keyboards, drum sets illuminated by lights, and a massive recording console covered in buttons and screens. Michelle said, “I’ve never seen anything like this.” Then the English musicians began setting everything up and commented, “The song has to have energy from the very first second and a style that no one can forget.”
Lucas picked up a guitar and played a few chords, and one of the English guys picked up another guitar and joined in, and their styles began to blend. Then Michelle started humming an improvised melody—it was a melody with something special. Richard kept enjoying himself and translating at the same time, and everyone was having a great time.
Durante horas trabajaron en pequeños detalles cambiaron ritmo, añadieron sonidos y volvieron a empezar una y otra vez para poder lograr esa canción soñada. Hasta que finalmente llegó el momento y unos de los productores comentó que ya tenían algo, donde todos se miraron, puesto que era el momento de grabar.
Todos se prepararon, las luces del estudio cambiaron, Michelle se colocó los auriculares, Lucas ajustó la guitarra y los músicos ingleses ocuparon sus posiciones. Mientras que del otro lado del cristal, los productores observaban atentos y una vez más volvieron a recordar que miles de personas esperaban ese álbum y millones escucharían aquella canción.
El primer segundo de la canción, llegó con una nota suave del piano, luego una guitarra profunda y poco comenzó a crecer la canción, hasta que la batería entró con fuerza. Para que así sea el momento en que ambas bandas comenzaran a tocar, todo encajaba a la perfección, para que así Michelle cantara y con su voz dejó a todos sin palabras y los músicos ingleses sonrieron mientras seguían tocando.
Cuando terminaron, nadie dijo y luego llegaron varios aplausos y Richard exclamó —¡Lo lograron!— Michelle se quitó los auriculares, Lucas respiró, Tomás levantó los brazos celebrando y uno de los músicos ingleses sonrió antes de decir unas palabras. La Banda 17 se miró emocionada, pero todos sabían que ese solo era el comienzo.
For hours they worked on small details, changed the rhythm, added sounds, and started over again and again to create the song of their dreams. Finally, the moment arrived, and one of the producers remarked that they had something—at which point everyone looked at each other, realizing it was time to record.
Everyone got ready, the studio lights dimmed, Michelle put on her headphones, Lucas tuned his guitar, and the English musicians took their places. Meanwhile, on the other side of the glass, the producers watched intently, reminding themselves once again that thousands of people were waiting for that album and millions would hear that song.
The first second of the song began with a soft piano note, followed by a deep guitar, and the song slowly began to build until the drums came in with force. Just as both bands began to play, everything fit together perfectly, allowing Michelle to sing—and with her voice, she left everyone speechless, while the English musicians smiled as they continued playing.
When they finished, no one said a word, then there was a round of applause, and Richard exclaimed, “They did it!” Michelle took off her headphones, Lucas breathed a sigh of relief, Tomás raised his arms in celebration, and one of the English musicians smiled before saying a few words. Banda 17 looked at each other excitedly, but they all knew that this was just the beginning.
