Many people are quite stubborn. If you tell them a secret, they won't rest until they spill it and destroy it. That's why we should share our secrets with someone we can completely trust, someone who keeps it to themselves and doesn't spread it.

Building this kind of trust is very difficult, because we can't trust everyone. Whenever you share your secrets with someone, there's always the fear that they might tell someone else. That's why I never share my secrets with anyone. Only my brother knows all my secrets because he thinks and understands me exactly like me.

I don't share any of my secrets with my sister-in-law, even by mistake, because she has a very nasty habit of talking. Once she finds out something, she's quick to spread it around. We've tested her many times, and we've proven that she's not one to tell anyone anything. If you tell her something thinking it's yours, she'll tell it to everyone very quickly.

We recently witnessed a recent example of this. I had purchased a plot of land three or four years ago, but I hadn't told my sister-in-law or anyone else in my in-laws' family. But we were having a party, and she started pestering me, asking, "What wish of yours has come true that you're organizing such a big puja, throwing such a party?" I didn't want to reveal the real reason for my puja, so to hide it, I told her about buying a plot.

The news I'd kept hidden from everyone for four years spread throughout my in-laws' family within just seven days. "Vandana had bought a plot," I said, laughing. "Today, she's proven us right again: no one will tell her anything. She's very naive."
