Holoz0r? I remember you. A while back you posted comments in the comments section to my article about HubPages. Your article above convinced me to subscribe to your Hive channel. I started out with this blockchain 8 years ago when there was only Steemit. Then I expanded over to PEAKD.com (Hive). I tried my luck with Blurt.com, but that's one of those places where you have to have money to make money. I haven't done hardly anything on Steemit in a while. That writing platform has taken on a life of its own, and it presents itself now as being on auto-pilot. I have to say that the Hive platform is where I have published the bulk of my articles on any blockchain. It has its fair share of drawbacks, but I like the idea that PEAKD.com has a voice feature that allows me to check my spelling and grammar on each article. Now after hearing the voice feature verbalize my articles, I don't overlook any typographical errors like used to.
I admit that I haven't really made much money on the Hive platform. It's because I'm more of a writer than a cryptocurrency expert. However, I have been experimenting with new ideas on the platform in hopes that it will cause my earnings to skyrocket.
You and the others are right about how sad it gets when people you've interacted with on this platform all of a sudden vanish without a word. There was this one gentleman I used to chat with regularly here on PEAKD.com who stopped posting on the comments section to my articles a couple of years ago, and I haven't heard from him since then. I tried to reach out to him a couple of times afterwards, but I got no response. There was another gentleman that I used to chat with regularly here on this platform and on Discord; and he decided that he was geting off of the Internet altogether, so I don't hear from him anymore. He even deleted his own YouTube channel.
Hive shouldn't be posts about cryptocurrency. It should be genuinely interesting stories about humans being humans.
I still loathe that on the balance, content about hive is the most rewarded on the platform.
One day I'll just start downvoting that content, because I do not agree with the disproportionate sum of rewards it gets.
For now, though (with my new job) I do not have enough time to write all the ideas I have swimming in my head - because I need to still put food in my belly.
