This will be a weekly Sunday hangout between friends, where everyone else is also invited to join in on the conversations. A Sunday party for Hive users to interact and just talk crap about whatever happens to be going on at the time. It might be Hive related, it might be current events, sports, or it might be something else entirely. But whatever it is, it will be in the interest of having fun and evoking laughter, piss-taking, teasing and hopefully, a lot of enjoyment for those involved.
Core collaborators:
These people will comment (if available) and lead some of the discussions.

Are you happy with the Eurovision outcome?
I didn't watch and I think I will not watch anymore. We are not there since 2013 anyway.
Why is Turkey not there? More European than Israel.
Türkiye don't agree with its voting system, and some other reasons.
Yeah, I have no idea how it works. I don't care too much about taking it seriously. Just like the nonsense of it all.
The what?
It is a European singing contest, last I heard of it was some bearded lady won...
That was a while ago. No bearded ladies this year.
Oh bummer, I am devastated :)
It was actually pretty tame in that respect. Perhaps Eurovision is moving away from the "biggest victim"
Oh! They removed the only thing that was fun.
lol
You are missing out. You can watch the Will Farrell movie to get a feel for it :D
I haven't watched for a few years but i did used to like it as a guilty pleasure!
You should get into. Endless sources for piss taking.
Don't watch it. Sounds like a shit show though.
It absolutely is! It is great to watch :D
Sometimes the shitty shows can be.
Lol.
I am only interested in Euroleague.
Do your own yardwork or hire it out? What if you are suddenly rich?
Great question.
Do my own - very few hire it out here. We don't have enough illegal immigrants to do the jobs we don't want to do.
If I was suddenly rich, I would do even more myself :)
I would pay to get some of the machinery stuff done though.
It depends on the size of my yard, but I think I would still do my own anyway. It's good exercise. I do have a pile of rocks that I need moved and I have been putting it off way too long, so I might end up hiring someone to do that. Who knows.
I would always do my own yardwork unless I can't. Even if I was suddenly rich it wouldn't change that as I enjoy doing my own yard work.
Fair enough! I don't mind mowing for the steps, but some of the other stuff is going to get harder as I get older.
As they say movement is life. Moving around and doing physical work is going to keep us alive and healthier longer. I really believe that...
What would you do if you ran into a snake somewhere?
Depends where it was. We don't have many venomous snakes here in my neck of the woods, so mostly you just let them be.
If they are not venomous, shouldn't you poke them?
Nah, they help with the mice and we have tons of mice. I'm actually surprised we don't see more of them around the house with the wet woods right behind our house. I think I've only ever seen one in our yard.
In Finland, I have vowed to try and catch it.
Replying from the land of the King Cobra - Is this enough to explain my reaction to the situation.
Support for Trump in America among Republican voters is stronger than ever. I just saw the news that Louisiana Republican senator that is not a Trump loyalist just lost his primary. Didn't even make it into the run-off. The results were Trump loyalist woman 45%, Trump loyalist man 28% and the non-loyal republican senator 25%
This means that nothing so far has weakened the support for Trump among Republicans, I would not be surprised if no matter what happens in war and economy Democrats are going to loose big in November primaries... What are you thoughts?
I suspect the democrats will lose for a while to come, unless they put up proper candidates. They need to do something, not just be against stuff.
Agreed... Plus their priorities seem all over the place and catering to 5% of the population on esoteric issues is a sure way to loose...
They have lost their way - if they ever had a way.
I heard an advertisement of some television show. It said that you can fly to Ethiopia(?) for a few hundrerd eur. And that there men get circumcised and if they show pain they are no longer considered men. In the past I also heard that in some country women wear metal rings on their necks to make necks longer... I don't understand how come people still like harming themselves in this day and age.
but I also don't understand how wars still start either.Or maybe I understand but just hope that humanity should be better by now.I reckon people can do as they please to some degree. However, cultural tradition itself nearly always leads to harm, no matter what the initial reason. Things change, so tradition needs to change too.
What was the best sporting moment this weekend?
Pistons winning game 6 was pretty great, but I have been loving the NCAA women's softball tournament. It's been on pretty much all day here.
I have never seen a softball match. One of my friends in high school was a brilliant pitcher. She could throw harder than any of the boys - and looked like a model.
It's pretty exciting if you can get into it. Even more than baseball because the bases are so much closer. There are different things happening in a game to keep it moving unlike baseball.
My favorite basketball team's biggest rival lost in lithuanian league yesterday. against a very small team. Sure one could argue that this game did not mean anything. But it is still a bit amusing.
How'd your team do?
My team is by far first in Lithuanian league. and they had awesome season in euroleague as well(played in playoffs but could not get to final 4).
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
I wouldn't mind traveling to Australia with a guide. Finland from what I have researched is fairly welcoming to folks that pay their way.
Finland doesn't mind tourists :)
@galenkp will be your spirit guide in Australia.
Having him as a guide would be perfect. As far as Finland, I may take up residence. LOL
I'll look after you mate, but the place will never be the same with two hellraisers like us combined.
Sounds good. Think I might have at least one good night of hellraising left in me.
One to two I reckon.
White tourists...?
They only like white tourists.
I'm already planning it.
Take him to all the great places, like Elizabeth Centrelink.
Haha!
Yeah, some sights to see there.
Do tell.
Probably just stay in Canada, and head to the east coast. A lot of volatility around the world nowadays.
Do you speak french?
No French, Quebec is really the only French speaking province.
I am thinking something tropical like Fiji or perhaps something different like New Zeland.
New Zealand is pretty cool, but go in the summer :)
that's an easy one.. i miss my kids so i would fly to maui to go visit em. at first i thought of philippines, but that is a 16 hr flight and not something i would do right now.. :P
They live in Maui? Isn't that like a tropical paradise?
I want to go to Mecca & Madina two holy places for Muslims to visit in this Holy Month of Hujj.
Where you wanna go?
What do you get out of the trip? Is it a spiritual journey for you, or a bucket list item?
It is based on FAITH and included in spiritual journey.
Space. human population there is small so that is a big +.
Just floating about in the blackness?
Maybe if I would fart in space it would start a second big bang?😛
In space, no one can hear you fart.
Netherlands; simply because I am heading there this Thursday
:)
I like walking around Amsterdam with all the old, skinny houses. Have been a few times bit haven't been elsewhere.
