We Talk Friday
(WTF)
This is a semi-regular series that I will run on Fridays to hold discussions on a current topic from the week gone. The aim is to keep them light and conversational, though some might be heavier - regardless of the content topic itself though, just have some fun engaging and discussing with whoever happens to put in the effort in the comments section below.

We Talk Friday Ep. 60: The Best Dealer
Since I am out the rest of the day, an early WTF!
1. What's the Dealio?
All the talk of the art of the deal and whatnot, and the deal with Iran at this point looks, pretty fucking bad. I wonder if Narcissistic Personality Disorder sufferers are able to experience imposter syndrome? Perhaps not, since even when losing an election, they believe they have won.
What is the worst deal you have ever made?
2. Been watching?
I have watched a few of the World Cup games so far and was watching with my daughter again last night. She asked me who I thought would win and I said it doesn't matter, because neither of the teams are in my preferences. So, since I have no horse in the race, I support the dog. I always want the underdog to win, and the larger the difference between David and Goliath, the higher the excitement.
Anyone else prefer the biggest loser?
3. Size matters!
The world's largest cruise ship has just sailed from Finland, though it should be the one of the two world's largest. However, with laser measurements, it is a couple millimetres larger than the one they created earlier. Legend of the Seas is 365 meters long and 65 meters wide, making it a monster. I have never been on a cruise like they do through the Caribbean before, but I have heard that some people love them, some hate them. And then of course, there are the issues when some illness puts down half the people on board. Still, I might have a chance to give it a go one day.
Do you cruise?

Iran just showed the Don what the Art of the Deal is really about.
The World Cup for the most part on surface hasn't disappointed. There have been some good games. Like you, I usually root for the underdogs and they have not disappointed on many occasions. Many have played well against top teams. Off the field, the the Scottish fans have been very entertaining out in Boston. Plenty of Youtube videos if you want to watch. Norway's fans are about as entertaining. But, I look forward to the new chants about Trump your Aussies have come up with for the game today. Our fans may even join in. LOL
I've spent enough time on ship in my time. Not sure I could enjoy a cruise. Then again, there was nothing like being on deck in the middle of the ocean when the sun rose and set.
:D I heard a few the other day - how do the Americans react?
I don't know what to say about the end of that game... it was a mess.
I think most found them funny.
Yeah the end was rather rough. Oh well. Next game hopefully you all move on. I like the physical play of Australia. Our team could use some toughening up.
I just saw a cruise ship up close this past weekend. Probably the closest I have ever been to one. It feels like the deal is not great at all. Half the people here probably think it is amazing though, best deal in the history of deals. There is no better deal than this.
Deal of the century.
Legend of the Seas sounds like something out of the card game we haven't finished yet. Six years in development...
Have you listened to Empire of the Clouds by Iron Maiden? It contains some answers to all of the topics above...
A championship spread across such a large landscape could be a bit too tiresome. Or exciting, if you're quite young, still. I don't know. Not a regular follower of the topic, I was also surprised they allowed so many teams in it.
I only watched one game so far. A bit disappointed by Croatia, they seemed kind of getting old and losing it, but... it's still early, and stuff can happen. Our team's best performance ever started with a 0:3 loss in the first round back in '94.
Team USA looks pretty solid. In sports terms. Politicians... pretty not solid. I wonder what my brain will be like when I'm over 80... Over 60, even, seems a bit scary as seen from here. I can only hope neither power nor greed shall take the best of me...
Probably not, but maybe. Will have to have a listen :)
Waters it down a bit, but hey - makes for some big goals too.
Modric looks like he is about 60.
Solid in the first half, but then they started falling over and backing into players and getting messy.
Well, I wrote my reply between the two halves ;) I fell asleep after that.
Too hard to pick. Many years ago I bought a giant puzzle. First bag was good but in second bag many pieces were poorly made(falling apart). More recently(like a year or two ago) I bought a drawing tablet. And only after buying it discovered that I can(and prefer) to draw with mouse. I also some time ago hoped to go on date and bought men's perfume. That(or any other) date did not happen so perfume is still waiting in a bathroom. But I suppose this was not so bad as first two options- I could still use that perfume in the future...
Ah - none of those are that bad!!!
It seems that football has become much more commercial lately, also there are too many teams in the World Cup that aren't really up to the required standard. Thus, I ask:
Where have the good old World Cups gone? 🙂
Commercialisation ruins everything - except profits in the short-term.
Amazing. Has anyone been on ship before. I've been on it once and it made me very jittery...
Was it a big boat?
Legend of seas is almost 1.5 times larger then Titanic; wow!
This is Icon of the Seas v Titanic
I also like supporting the underdog, it makes the game more exciting. I have never been on a cruise but I would like to try it one day.
Where would you want to cruise? I have heard Antarctica is amazing.
Antarctica sounds like a great choice. The scenery must be amazing.
