Dubai Icon got a decent start and settled quickly into the race, chasing the leaders in third place until inside the final 3 furlongs, seemingly running well within himself. Drifted backwards from there and unfortunately pulled up very quickly after that and failed to finish. No news found at the moment as to the cause.

Both the top two had losing picks yesterday so no change in the lead. A look down the leaderboard shows of the 53 tipsters listed only 10 are currently showing a profit, although 11th placed Glendale is only £0.13 in the red. The largest loss is held by Moorestyle of The Daily Star Sunday with a massive P&L of -£85.17 from his 159 NAP selections, not helped by his current 32 race losing streak. With only 15 winners his strike rate for the season is a mere 9.43%. This shows that not even the "experts" get it right all the time, and the huge amount of luck needed to pick a winner.
