These prehistoric petroglyphs lie a few miles from the town of Bishop in California in a place called Volcanic Tablelands. It was formed millions of years ago but the petroglyphs are scratched unto the surface around 9,000 years ago.

What a great shot, I wonder how many of the glyphs would line up to a 9000 year old sky.

I wonder what people back then were thinking when they created this art!

Perhaps it was simply a love letter from Falling Rock Fool, to Starry Eyed Jewel. Or maybe an Epitaph pointing the way to their concept of heaven for the loss of someone important to the clan or tribe.
