Tucked away on the backside of a tree facing south, this alien-looking thing caught my eye. This nest has long been abandoned by wasps, but the remnants continue to hang like some extraterrestrial head sprouting forth from a tree. No stings managed either; like most, wasps don't appreciate the cold either.
