Have you seen a ginger flower before?
This is the shoot and you can see the small flower in the photograph. Ginger is a root vegetable and so, the flower does not bear the fruit.
Ginger is also very good for health and can also be used as a spicy garnish or to flavor chai.
We in Kerala make a unique dish called inchi puli or puli inchi where inchi is ginger and puli means tamarind.
