If you are the type to poke holes in religious theories, here is another opportunity for you to do that.
I'll repeat it here:
Get a piece of paper.
Make a vertical line on the left side of the page, one in the middle, and one on the right side.
Make a horizontal line connecting the three.
Label the one in the middle neutral.
I call the left evil, and the right good.
You can adjust this to suit your tastes.
This is a gradient scale that runs from satan through you and on to god.
Ultimate evil and good live at the ends, everybody else lives on the line.
Maybe you are to the left of Mohammad Ali, and to the right of mother Theresa, not for me to judge.
When the sperm and the egg come together and you become you, you are at neutral.
When you do good, you move to the right and are closer to god.
When you do evil, you move to the left closer to satan.
When you die, there you are.
Closer, or farther, from the ultimate good in the universe.
As a useful exercise, on the page write down all the terms you can think of, like robbery, extortion, assault, would go on the evil side, and help, support, nurture would go on the good side.
When complete, ask yourself what this illustrates to you.

Who is not exactly a mainstream thinker will concede that the greatest disaster in the history of mankind was caused by those who have written the absolute good on their flags. The most dangerous criminals have always been those convinced that they embody the good, especially those who believed they were fulfilling a divine mission.
But the divine - and this is another logical consequence of the dialectic - must be beyond good and evil. For if it were only a part of the good power, it would not be the divine/god.
Good and evil ebbs and flows through all lives.
It would be great if we could judge good from evil and predict the outcomes of behaviors, but that just isn't how this reality appears to work for most folks.
Some people are supposed to be serial killers, and others their victims.
If doing bad to good people is bad, wouldn't doing good for bad people be bad?
