in Amazing Nature3 years ago

Hello everyone,as a nature lover and traveller i love contests like this where people can admire the beauty of our mother nature. So special thanks to @amazingnature for this great contest.

For this contest i would like to share about my trip to paakulamedu. Paakulam heights is one of the heighest peaks in my home town Idukki. It is actually located 3300m above sea level.

My cousin Joseph Benny is my travelling partner and we travel alot together. He is the one who told me about this paakulam heights. Eventhough it is one of the heighest peaks in Idukki, it is unexplored and not many know about this amazing hill station.

Our friend who once went to the paakulam heights told us about the route and short cuts to reach the paakulam and he warned us about the unforgiving slippery rocks through which we have to walk and about the toughest off road through which we have to ride our motorcycle.

Me and my cousin started our journey in our motorcyle . And our road trip came to an end when we reached the place kokkarakulam. From their the forest route started. For the first 5 minutes the route was ok but after that the real off road started. And i will promise you, that was the toughest route through which i have ever rided a motorcycle.

After riding through this unforgiving terrain for like 30 minutes we reached the bottom of the paakulam heights. From there it was impossible to continue with motorcycle. So we parked our motorcycle and continued to climb the paakulam heights .

It was so tough to climb that natural monster but we enjoyed every bit of it. The whistling sound of the breeze and the mist made our climbing more thrilling...
Throught the tall grasses we moved forward.

After climbing this mysterious beauty for like 20 minutes. My cousin told me that we should definitely take a break and i couldn't agree more to that cause we were literally running on fumes. We sat there, drunk some water and enjoyed the view from their.

Before continuing our climb we didn't forget to take a selfie. In this selfie you can see that our hair is so wet but actualy there was no rain, the mist is responsible for our wety hair. The interesting thing is that it was 2pm while we took this selfie.. instead of a sunny weather it was full of mist there.

Climbing for like another 20 minutes we reached the top of paakulam atlast. It was just stunning. We screamed our hearts out. The joy of conquering paakulam was something else. A memory for a lifetime . The view it offerd was just amazing.

After taking some glorious photos. We sat there for a while without making any sound. We really blend in nicely with nature and just enjoyed what mother nature offered to us. After spending about an hour at the peak we returned back.
