Hi!
Crooked Forest is a natural monument near Gryfino in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It is a very unusual forest because it consists of growing crooked trees. It is not large, because currently there are just over 50 curved pines on an area of about 0.3 ha.

Krzywy Las to pomnik przyrody koło Gryfina w województwie zachodniopomorskim w Polsce. Jest to bardzo nietypowy las, ponieważ składa się z rosnących krzywych drzew. Nie jest on duży, ponieważ obecnie rośnie tutaj nieco ponad 50 zakrzywionych sosen na powierzchni ok 0,3 ha.
The trees were planted in the 1930s.
Drzewa zostały zasadzone w latach 30-tych XX wieku.
There are several theories about the origin of this forest. The most popular is deliberate human activity and the use of such trees to build boats, sledges, barrels or furniture.
Powstało kilka teorii o powstaniu tego lasu. Najbardziej popularna to celowa działalność człowieka i wykorzystanie takich drzew do budowy łodzi, sań, beczek czy mebli.
If anyone is in the area, I think it's worth going and seeing the forest. However, organizing a trip where the main goal would be a trip to this forest is rather not recommended. There are less and less trees and you can be a bit disappointed in this case.
Jeżeli ktoś jest w okolicy to myślę, że warto się wybrać i obejrzeć las. Jednak organizowanie wycieczki, gdzie głównym celem miałby być wypad do tego las to raczej odradzam. Drzew jest coraz mniej i można się w takim przypadku lekko rozczarować.
Last year, however, 1,000 new trees were planted, which will be specially curved to create a new Crooked Forest. So the next generations should enjoy this attraction more.
Natomiast w zeszłym roku posadzono 1000 nowych drzewek, które zostaną specjalnie poddane zakrzywieniu aby powstał nowy Krzywy Las. Tak więc kolejne pokolenia powinny się bardziej cieszyć taką atrakcją.

This looks so surreal as if the trees are dancing. Do you know what trees these are and how long it will take for them to grow to this size? Just thinking now much longer we have to wait to see a bigger forest like this
The current trees are Scots pine, part of the new forest will come from the seeds of the current crooked trees, part from new seeds. From the information I've found on pines, they'll probably take about 50 years to grow to a similar size.
That's really for the next generation then, it will good to leave some legacy for them
