Damselfly in the backyard (Macro shots)

in Amazing Nature4 years ago (edited)

Nature is often just a few steps away.
Today I spotted this Large redeye damselfy in my backyard.

Damselflies are often confused with dragonflies, but damselflies are a little bit smaller than dragonflies. Their eyes are quite big and wide apart.
When they rest they fold their wings backwards where dragonflies spread them.
Damselfies are often seen by slow flowing waters.

Pictures are shot with my Canon EOS M50 and the macro shots with my Nokia phone with a BlackEye clipon Macro lens.
