We appreciate your posts and the following ones are randomly selected because of their botanical qualities. They are manually curated on behalf of the Amazing Nature Community.

First a brief explanation about Botany:

Botany is a broad term covering scientific study of plants. It could be from a small living organism to a tree. Included would be flora, fungi, lichens, trees and flowering plants.

We are also interested in plants for their psychological (good for the mind & soul) benefits.

Through botany, medicinal properties are discovered from nature. Food, medicines, parks, forests, pollution and much more have been improved with botanical knowledge. Botanists search for alternatives from the harmful chemicals used on crops and the deforestation that has damaged the health of our planet.

Herbalism, with ancient people identifying edible, medicinal or poisonous plants, is the original of Botany. Our ancestors and Native peoples were botanists in their own right. They knew of the healing properties to be found in plants but much of that knowledge had been lost to future generations.

Now I would like to bring your attention to the curated posts and ask you to show some love to the amazing authors:

@ @iamvohann is shocked to see the damage done to the trees by nails and wire as he stops by his usual veggie stand. As he is about to leave he notices wires have been nailed to the trees bordering the land. Seeing how the trees have "swallowed" the barbwire, and how it is a bit rusty in some parts, it must have been done awhile ago. Rightfully so, he is wondering how much this damage affects the tree’s health.

  • @quotes-haven takes us on a tour of the Raffles Gardens in Fort Canning Park, Singapore and highlights a number of plants with medicinal properties. The garden was named after the avid naturalist, Sir Stamford Raffles who with his team collected and planted the diverse plant species.

  • @kawsar8035 refreshes his mind walking through his father’s pepper plants. These are special moments to get rid of the day’s work fatigue. His mind was filled with joy to see small white flowers and small peppers on these plants. Peppers are in big demand in Bangladesh and the chillies are cultivated commercially to sell at the markets.

  • @oscurity, along with two lovely ladies, takes an excursion up a steep mountain in Portugal. Mountain climbing is his hobby and he feels, “There is no better feeling than to breathe clean air in the mountains.” It is an interesting hike seeing the vegetable gardens, along with the unspoiled nature of the flowers, rocks and eucalyptus trees he passes on the climb. The eucalyptus is fast growing and will resprout after fire or have seeds which survive fire. These trees are planted along the mountain in protected areas.
