Hello Nature Lovers !

I would like to cordially invite you to another great week of the Amazing Nature Contest. There were already so many excellent entries regarding how amazing nature is in the past episodes, thanks to all of you, but there is still so much more to see! ^^ To participate in the #amazingnature contest just write up a post and explain how amazing nature is for you personally ^^

What is the Purpose of the Contest ?

I am a huge nature-lover and really enjoy taking pictures of all the lovely things that surround me every day, no matter if plants, animals or landscapes. Hive is a brilliant place to watch these while simultaneously reading and learning about nature from all over the world. There is such a diversity of great content, thanks to all of you, from different perspectives and out of various motivations. This contest attempts to collect all those beautiful snapshots and their amazing stories in a weekly compilation so that you all can benefit from the beauty that we are facing all the time, but so often are not able to appreciate in the modern and fast paced times we are living in.

#amazingnature is at home in the DNA-Discord, a organization run by people for the people, with the aim to foster and densify nature-appreciation in the blockchain. DNA is also the home of the #aquaticsentinels, the #featheredfriends, the @fungilovers and the #insectsoftheworld communities.

Contest Rules :

POST your entry INTO the AMAZING NATURE COMMUNITY. You can also use the #amazingnature TAG if you like to ^^
CLEARLY MENTION that your post is an ENTRY for this contest.
All pictures have to be your own. You can use the amazing nature banner if you like or create your own.
STATE IN THE TEXT why those pictures are representing YOUR AMAZING NATURE. This is an ESSENTIAL part of this contest; 400 words minimum (per language) !
Drop the LINK to your post IN THE COMMENTS. You can add a picture if you like. It is NECESSARY as I have to post a link in Discord on Friday, 5 days later for voting and also for my own compiling purposes.
The entry window is open for ~ 5 DAYS. Watch out for the -CLOSED in the title.

If you miss the entry, please wait for the next round. As I have to work and also to manage a family there are no fixed UTC times.The window can open in a wide range between 10 am - 10 pm and also close accordingly ^^

The AMAZING NATURE COMMUNITY is there FOR ALL POSTS ABOUT THE AMAZING NATURE AROUND YOU. We would highly appreciate it if you share your great nature content there with us! .. The contest is located there as an integrated part and special community feature ^^ It also features the Amazing Nature Challenge with weekly changing topic (@bucipuci) and various Curation Reports (@nelinoeva, @redheadpei, @jlufer, @oscurity) !

Possible Topics :

As nature covers an incredible wide range there is really anything possible. Amazing Natures categories could be anything from the following topics:

Botany
Zoology
Geology
Landscapes
Philosophy
... Surprise us ^^

Prizes to Win :

1st : 1 HBD
2st : 0.5 HBD
3st : 0.25 HBD

I will present all participants in the entries section of the announcement posts that will be published roughly one week later on Sunday (depending on my time schedule this may shift ^^). This way you will have a nice compilation of them all. The number of winning places is adaptable and differs by the number of participants to keep a 50% winner limit (1 to 3 - one place, 4 to 6 - two places, 6 or more - full podium). As an special feature, the new title picture will be created from the entry of the contest winner. This time it is from @keuudeip.

How are the Winners chosen ?

The voting on the winners will be done by the whole DNA community. Therefore we created a special contest channel in the DNA Discord (Amazing Nature Contest). Here I will post the announcement post including the winners (Announcements) EACH SUNDAY together with all your entries (Entries) EACH FRIDAY. Every member of DNA will be able to assign "voting emojis" under the entries for 24 HOURS. In the end those three with the most are the lucky winners. I will engage as a judge in case of a draw ^^

THIS WEEKS WINNERS

The winner of this contest week was chosen by the DNA community members to be @keuudeip with a real monster of an entry post. He focused on explaining the biodiversity that he discovered on and around pine trees in northwest of Aceh (Sumatra) in Indonesia. The documentation starts with a really nice Brown marmorated stink bug that made it way through the branches of the trees, and then shows and describes us some Puffball fungi on that made it themselves comfortable on the ground. After we get to insects and fungi, we get to know something about the botany around with an example of a very beautiful Ivy Gourd plant. At the end we get to see a elongated documentation of a amazing Hermit Crab that managed to climb its way up the pine trees ^^ .. Thank you very much for this really cool entry about the biodiversity of Sumatran Pine Trees as their own little biotopes ;)

The entry from @antikus369 shows us some really stunning scenery which are focusing one the amazing beauty of nature reflections of the water of rivers. We get to see how the heaven and the clouds are getting perfectly reflected and drowned in rivers water, which stands absolutely still at the moment of the recording. These nice motives, combined with the absolutely gorgeous autumn landscapes create a real beautiful and enchanting moment of silence and serenity ^^ .. Thank you so much for sharing these nice moments with us. It must have been really meditative and breathtaking to witness this in real life ;)

The entry of @suzana72 brigs us in the middle of the colorful autumn wonder-world of Serbia. She shows us some really beautiful Cotinus Coggygria trees. These are also known as Smoketrees and are most famous medicinal plants in the Balkans. At these time of the year the leaves are appearing in an intense red color. Combined with their pleasant aroma that derives from the presents of many aromomatic terpenes, such as camphene, linaleol, tirpeneol, alphapinen, myrcene, these trees have not only medical properties, but also create a real magical aura around them ^^ .. Thank you very much for all the details about these trees and the beautiful pictures of autumn starting in your area ;)
