Esta es la cuarta entrega de esta serie que he titulado “exploración fotográfica del jardín”, son fotos que no tienen mayores pretensiones sino solamente captar los detalles del entorno donde vivo. Estos largos días de encierro me han obligado a buscar otros motivos para seguir con mi actividad fotográfica, una actividad que me distrae y me relaja.
This is the fourth installment of this series that I have titled "photographic exploration of the garden", they are photos that do not have major pretensions but only to capture the details of the environment where I live. These long days of confinement have forced me to look for other reasons to continue my photographic activity, an activity that distracts and relaxes me.
La primera foto es de una pequeña flor que nace de manera silvestre. Durante la época de lluvia es posible verla en cualquier parte donde haya un pedazo de tierra baldía. Su color es amarillo, el que dependiendo de la luz del Sol a veces puede verse como naranja pálido. Las flores que tomé para esta entrega las encontré en un terreno muy cerca de mi casa, allí crecen sin dificultad, sin que nadie las atienda y se mantienen alegres mientras caiga agua del cielo.
The first photo is of a small flower that grows wild. During the rainy season it is possible to see it anywhere where there is a piece of wasteland. Its color is yellow, which depending on the sunlight can sometimes look like a pale orange. The flowers I took for this delivery I found them in a field very close to my house, there they grow without difficulty, without anyone attending to them and they stay happy as long as water falls from the sky.
La segunda foto es de un pequeño lirio que crece en un matero de mi jardín. Es una mata muy delicada, hay que moverlo frecuentemente porque no se lleva bien con la luz intensa del Sol. Son pocas las oportunidades en que florece, cuando mucho una o dos veces al año. Su flor dura pocos días luego de que se abren los botones. Tiene un color blanco muy puro, es una flor muy bonita.
The second photo is of a small lily growing in a matero in my garden. It is a very delicate bush, which must be moved frequently because it does not get along well with the intense light of the sun. It rarely flowers, at most once or twice a year. Its flower lasts a few days after the buds are opened. It has a very pure white color; it is a very beautiful flower.
En esta oportunidad quise presentárselas en blanco y negro, es otra forma de verlas y me pareció que de esta manera las dos fotos ganaban en presencia. Ambas tomas las hice con mi cámara OLY E500. El revelado lo hago con Photoshop CS4, partiendo de archivos RAW, los que convierto a formato TIFF, de ese modo conservo más gama tonal. Al final hago una conversión a blanco y negro y ajusto con niveles algunas zonas del fondo para destacar el motivo principal.
In this opportunity I wanted to present them in black and white, it is another way of seeing them and it seemed to me that in this way the two photos were winning in presence. I took both pictures with my OLY E500 camera. The development is done with Photoshop CS4, from RAW files, which I convert to TIFF format, so I keep more tonal range. At the end I make a black and white conversion and I adjust with levels some zones of the background to highlight the main motive.

Realmente son fotografías excelentes. Admiro mucho a los fotógrafos, tienen esa capacidad de convertir cualquier simpleza en algo admirable. Lo digo por la primera foto. Dices que esa flor crece en un terreno baldío, probablemente abandonado. Pero la flor está hermosa, y la foto que tomaste la hace ver más hermosa.

Es una mata que ahorita la ves por todos lados en mi sector. La fotografía nos permite poder destacar la belleza en el detalle, el ojo a veces pierde esa capacidad porque siempre se mueve en el espacio del conjunto, pero con la cámara aprendemos a mirar de otro modo.
