The snake and its 2 adopted babies 😂

Hi @amazingnature community, this is my entry this week: Boa constrictor.

Non-venomous snake up to three meters long. Pinkish gray color with blackish dorsal spots and white belly dotted with black. It feeds on rodents and other animals that it strangles before swallowing. Lives in warm areas.🔗

The Boa constrictor, known in my country as "tragavenada". The reason for this popular name is due to the constrictor characteristic of the snake, which in some areas of my state and in the Amazon (jungle area near my city) can measure meters and swallow a whole deer.

I think we've all seen the discovery channel shows dedicated to gigantic boa constrictors from the amazon. In those TV programs they showed how the snake coils and suffocates from small animals to animals as large as a deer in adulthood and then rests for months while it digests.

It is an impressive animal. This one that you see in my photos, was found in a residential area, rescued by moprofao moprofao an NGO dedicated to the rescue and relocation of wildlife, I am a volunteer there and I had to document this rescue.

I took these photos of a small species, the story was very funny, due to gasoline problems in the country, it could not be relocated to its habitat immediately. We couldn't get any mice to feed her so 2 chicks were bought. Days passed and the snake seemed to have adopted the chicks alive. We tried beef and chicken, but they don't eat dead meat. We got a little upset, but on the third day.. he had breakfast 😅.

Finally it was relocated to a swampy area, which is its natural habitat. This is very common between the months of July-September, the rainy season in my area.

All this photos were taken with me, with my Canon xt. and my Android xiaomi 9S

Thank you for entering the competition.
Being a member of the rescue station must be an interesting job. Thank you for the pictures of the snake you managed to save.
