Family Wednesday Walk in Green Timbers Park.

in Amazing Nature2 years ago (edited)

When my parents came from Kelowna for a 3 day visit, I really wanted to take them to one of my favorite parks here in Surrey and that is the Green Timbers park.

So come and join us for this #WednesdayWalk which is created by the awesome @tattoodjay.

The weather wasn't that great, since the wind was pretty cold but at least it was quite sunny and it didn't rain.

One evening after dinner we wanted to go for a walk, but it was quite windy, so I thought of taking my parents to this park because I thought it would be less windy, walking through the trails which sre surrounded with trees. It's like you are walking in the forest.

But unfortunately it was still pretty cold, but we still enjoyed it.

We got lost few times picking different trails which we have only walked once before and one of those trails we have not walked yet before, which made it even more interesting to see how far and where it goes.

We only walked few of the trails, since my mom was getting too cold, plus we were busy all day and walked quite a bit today so my parents were getting pretty tired.

My mom loved all the fern growing here and she also loved the way we have so many beautiful places to go for walk including all the parks everywhere.

I have never seen fern growing up the trees before. And quite few trees had the ferns growing on top of them. Very interesting.

We found quite few smiley faces 🙂. So cute.

And we finally made it back to the lake. This lake is just a tiny lake where it is a home for a wild life, plus you can do some good trout fishing here too.

And that was our family walk to finish the day.

Hope you enjoyed our family #WednesdayWalk in this awesome Green Timbers Park.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection which is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most amazing project that I would suggest for everyone in this hive community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services. Looks like you and your parents took a nice walk in a beautiful trail even if it was a bit chilly

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

So true @tattoodjay. Everytime I see smiley faces painted, it makes me smile and makes me happy.

Since I moved from Poland, 30 yrs ago, Vancouver is the first place, I saw so much fern which I love.

My parents sure did enjoy the walk. It was a great visit.

Have a lovely day @tattoodjay

Thanks

👍🙂
