When I was in Crete, I often saw seagulls.In this respect, I felt like I was staying at the Baltic Sea, not at the Mediterranean Sea. When I went to the Elafonisi beach, I noticed that there were a lot of gulls floating by the water. I also noticed a place where they liked to rest. These were rocks in the sea, partially sticking out of its surface.
Gdy byłam na Krecie często widziałam mewy. Pod tym względem czułam się jakbym przebywała nad Bałtykiem, a nie nad morzem Śródziemnym. Gdy pojechałam na plażę Elafonisi zauważyłam, że nad wodą pływa sporo mew. Dostrzegłam też miejsce, gdzie lubiły odpoczywać. To były skały znajdujące się w morzu, wystające częściowo nad jego powierzchni.
These rocks were a bit far from the shore, so theoretically the birds should have a lot of privacy there. However, the water in the lagoon located there was so shallow that you could easily walk there or swim quickly on a mattress.
Skały te były trochę oddalone od brzegu, więc teoretycznie ptaki powinny mieć tam zapewnione sporo prywatności. Aczkolwiek woda w znajdującej się tam lagunie była tak płytka, że można było bez problemu tam dojść, albo szybko dopłynąć na materacu.
When I wanted to take a picture of the birds, one of them flew away quickly and the other posed for a moment. I got quite close to him and was able to take pictures of him. The first one from this post I like the most, when you can see the moon in the distance.
Gdy chciałam zrobić zdjęcie ptakom, jeden z nich szybko odleciał, a drugi przez chwilę mi pozował. Podeszłam do niego dość blisko i mogłam robić mu zdjęcia. Najbardziej lubię to pierwsze z tego posta, gdy w oddali widać księżyc.
