"Sitting Meditation Dog on a Carpet of Grass"
I took these photos a couple of weeks ago. My dog loves to rest when he finds beautiful green grass. When he sees a nice-looking place, suddenly he lays down and doesn't move at all. After we enjoy the breeze and atmosphere, he stands up and moves. He always gives us some kind of moment. He looks like a monk who is having a quick meditation on the green grass. I want to learn his style. He is very good at living in the moment which is sometimes very hard for me to do so. Anyway, we enjoyed a nice long walk.

この写真は数週間前に撮ったものです。私の犬は緑の草の上で休憩するのが好きです。良さそうな芝生を見つけると突然横になり動きません。涼しい風と周囲のいい雰囲気を感じたら、またムクっと起き上がり動き出します。いつもそういう時間を私たちに与えてくれます。その姿は緑の芝生の上で座禅をするお坊さんのように見えます。そんなスタイルを犬から学びたいなと思います。彼はその瞬間瞬間を生きるのがとても上手です。私にとっては瞬間を生きるということが結構チャレンジだったりします。こんな風にこの日は長距離散歩を楽しみました。

He looks happy! We can learn a lot from dogs. They know how to live in the moment and enjoy everything, I have done zazen for most of my life, but I can't live in the moment as well as a dog can.
Yes, you are right. Zazen is a very challenging thing for humans but it looks easier for animals. Every time when I see my dog, I stop thinking too much about other things because he looks so happy and carefree!
