heute berichte ich Euch von meiner letzten Fahrradtour mit meinem Sohn. Das machen einmal im Jahr für ein paar Tage. Vater-Sohn Zeit.
Letztes Jahr haben wir uns den Altmühltalradweg ausgesucht. Eine wunderschöne Strecke durch den Nationalpark Altmühltal.
Gestartet sind wir in Kinding mit einer Übernachtung in einem urigen bayrischen Gasthof.

today I tell you about my last bike trip with my son. That make once a year for a few days. Father-son time.
Last year we chose the Altmühltalradweg. A beautiful route through the Altmühltal National Park.
We started in Kinding with an overnight stay in a rustic Bavarian inn.
Am Anreisetag haben dann zur Einstimmung eine kleine Wanderung zur Burgruine über dem Dorf gemacht. Tolle Aussicht.
On the day of arrival have then made a small hike to the castle ruins above the village to get in the mood. Great view.
Am nächsten Tag ging’s dann los nach Weißenburg.
The next day, we set off for Weißenburg.
Durch abwechslungsreiche Natur und in Bayern natürlich mit geistlicher Unterstützung.
Through varied nature and in Bavaria, of course, with spiritual support.
Am nächsten Tag war auf der Tour in die Universitätsstadt Eichstädt auch Zeit eine der schönen Burgen am Wegesrand zu besichtigen.
The next day, on the tour to the university town of Eichstädt, there was also time to visit one of the beautiful castles along the way.
Und immer entlang an der langsam dahinplätschernden Altmühl. Ideal um eine Pause zu machen und die Füße ins Wasser baumeln zu lassen.
And always along the slowly rippling Altmühl. Ideal to take a break and let your feet dangle in the water.
Ein Highlight war die weitbekannte Felsformation „Die zwölf Apostel“.
A highlight was the widely known rock formation "The Twelve Apostles".
Wer findet die beiden Freeclimber in der Wand?
Who will find the two free climbers in the wall?
Unglaubliche Felsen die von der Altmühl über die Jahrhunderte freigelegt wurden.

Endlich angekommen in Eichstätt. Bereit für ein kühles Bier und eine knusprige Schweinshaxe.
Finally arrived in Eichstätt. Ready for a cold beer and a crispy pork knuckle.
Am letzen Tag auf dem Rückweg nach Kinding haben wir einen kurzen Stop am restaurierten Römerkastell eingelegt.
On the last day on the way back to Kinding we made a short stop at the restored Roman fort.
Faszinierende Aussichten auf die Felsenburgen an der Strecke.
Fascinating views of the rock castles along the route.
Und ein Weitblick der zum Träumen einlädt.
And a wide view that invites you to dream.
Es waren wieder einmal 4 erholsame Tage auf dem Rad mit einer Stecke von ungefähr 150 Kilometern und es wird nicht unsere letzte Tour gewesen sein.
