Yesterday I had the opportunity to hike one of the trails in El Avila National Park, located north of the city of Caracasp
Hay varias rutas de acceso para conocer y disfrutar de la naturaleza exuberante que estas montañas ofrecen al caminante, son bastante largas y llegan hasta la cumbre de los principales picos ubicados a mas de 1500 metros de altura y por supuesto para subir requieren de una preparación física previa y del acompañamiento de personas conocedoras. Otras rutas son mas cortas y mas fáciles de caminar y por eso son mas frecuentadas.
There are several access routes to know and enjoy the exuberant nature that these mountains offer to the hiker. They are quite long and reach the top of the main peaks located at more than 1500 meters and of course to climb they require previous physical preparation and the accompaniment of knowledgeable people. Other routes are shorter and easier to walk and therefore are more frequented.
The path called Quebrada Quijada is one of these short routes and you reach a waterfall that bears that name.
While climbing, the mountain vegetation fascinated me as always when I have the opportunity to be in contact with nature. It amazes me that most people walk around without looking at it carefully, they are distracted by other thin
There is a great diversity of species, from herbs to large trees. In a tangled group of plants I could observe fickle climbing plants, which are those that with their trunk are rolled up into other trees, ascending in search of light.
También es común la presencia de lianas los cuales son tallos modificados y raíces columnares.
Also common is the presence of lianas which are modified stems and columnar roots.
Las plantas herbaceas con flores diminutas no llaman mucho la atencion, pero vean que hermosas son.
Herbaceous plants with tiny flowers do not attract much attention, but they observe how beautiful they are.
At the end of the trail we find the waterfall on a rock wall. And the cold and crystalline water stream that goes down between the big rocks.

And with the renewed energy to go down the path back to the city.
