La naturaleza realmente es asombrosa y fascinante, en cada oportunidad nos sorprende con las maravillas de las transformaciones, si bien había visto en programas o documentales de televisión sobre el mimetismo algunas especies, no había tenido la posibilidad de mirarlo personalmente tan de cerca.
Hoy me encontré con una oruga, debo aclarar que el susto fue espantoso, sólo hasta acercarme pude notar que era muy pequeña para ser una serpiente, tomó las características exactas sólo que su cuerpo era pequeño se escondía con el tronco del árbol. Una especie de mimetismo morfológico, extraordinariamente perfecto de no ser por las dimensiones.
Esta tierna amiguita estaba devorando las hojas del árbol de limón, por el color me imaginé que simplemente estaba tranquila después de haber comido bastante, sólo se confundía entre el tronco del árbol en medio de las hojas, logré visualizarla porque estaba regando las plantas en ese momento.
Estuve documentándome sobre la especie sólo para información general, leí que a este tipo de mimetismo se le conoce como "batesiano" y que representa es una estrategia para defenderse de los depredadores o los animalitos que quieran comérsela, obviamente reconocen la serpiente como uno de los animales a los cuales se les tienen más temor entre todos, en este caso se defendió muy bien de mí que aunque no soy su depredador di dos pasos hacia atrás.

A kind of morphological mimicry, extraordinarily perfect if not for the dimensions.
This tender little friend was devouring the leaves of the lemon tree, by the color I imagined that she was simply calm after having eaten enough, she was only confused between the trunk of the tree in the middle of the leaves, I was able to visualize her because she was watering the plants at that moment.
I read that this type of mimicry is known as "Batesian" and that it represents a strategy to defend oneself from predators or small animals that want to eat it. Obviously, they recognize the snake as one of the animals they are most afraid of.

Supongo que los grandes investigadores se habrán planteado la pregunta, porque los humanos por ejemplo sólo podemos copiar aquello que hemos visto, esto me hace pensar la posibilidad de que exista una serpiente en el patio de mi casa, o que sea una información genética que contienen las orugas
Este tipo de oruga se transforma después de su proceso de vida, en una especie de polilla que le gusta la oscuridad, pero no crean que me quede para ver todo el proceso simplemente la deje tranquila en su hábitat, y bueno buscaré una forma ecológica que no perjudique su vida e igual a la beneficiosa mata de limón.

This type of caterpillar transforms itself after its life process, into a kind of moth that likes the dark, but don't think that I will stay to see the whole process, I will simply leave it alone in its habitat, and well I will look for an ecological way that will not harm its life and equal to the beneficial lemongrass.
Lamentablemente estas orugas son consideradas voraces, o insaciables es decir que se comen todo el árbol o el jardín, y lo positivo es que no son venenosas. Pero mis fotografías no son tan excelentes porque oruga o no parecía una serpiente, y como la mayoría de las personas no soy amiga de ellas.
Lo que sí puedo decir es que la naturaleza es asombrosa y mágica.

Hola @slwzl ciertamente esta oruga es muy extraña, par ser honesta te cuento que es la primer vez que la veo. Parece una serpiente, interesante hallazgo amiga. Quedé impactada.
