Koh Larn's worth the rides!

IMG_0784.jpg

Happy thanks giving and happy Friday!! Last week, a friend came for a visit and we decided to take a day trip to Koh Larn, a popular island destination in Pattaya, Thailand. How close it is to Bangkok compared to other islands down south, how clear the water is, and the fact that it's not as touristy these days due to the pandemic, makes it even more attractive so, there we went!

Taxi to Ferry to two-row taxi

Sounds like an easy ride but could also take a while. Ferry takes about 35 mins but speedboat could probably do half the time less than that ez. We went with the ferry as we got no rush anyways. Then from the pier, we gotta go to a preferred beach (they got quite a few) by either rent a scooter, ride a scooter taxi or take a two-row taxi. We went with the last choice.

Reason? We went there before once and rented a scooter, guess what, almost couldn't make it because none of us is good at riding and there are a few hills, steep hills. It was scary and I promised myself, I would never, again.

Koh Larn's worth the rides!

There are a few beaches but we went to Tien beach as for my understanding, the beach/sea here is the prettiest among all beaches here on Koh Larn. Roughly, about an hour plus to get here but yo! It's so worth it. Not too touristy.. Well, a little more people than last time we were here but still, this was nice and not too crowded.

The water was clear and you can really see the fish and sand... smooth-as-silk kinda sand did I mention :)

Street food on the beach

There are a few seat rental places and not all of them offer food. Though, don't you worry! Many food stalls along the beach and what's impressive is that, they don't raise the price too much even it's on the island.

This time I got deep-fried Asian style meat balls and north eastern Thai style spicy green papaya salad. (I know, what a name! #lol)

Koh Larn's fun!

Other than just swimming, eating, drinking, sunbathing, there are a few more activities you could enjoy. Jet ski, banana boat, paddle board, kayak and if you're there through out the day, 2 times that some gooses gonna get released and get fed. That was cute to see!
