🌷 Some time ago I bought some Barbies for my nieces and, I took the opportunity to buy one for myself with the idea of starting to make suits and market them, but I think my subconscious kept it because I felt a little intimidated to sew such small pieces, so when I read In contest I got excited and, I started looking for the Barbie to rescue her from the dungeons where I had put her prisoner, obviously something that she did not deserve. My Barbie needed a name too so I named her Anushka, heard it in a movie and loved it.
🌷 Hace tiempo compre unas Barbies para mis sobrinas y, aproveché de comprar una para mí con la idea de comenzar a elaborar trajes y comercializarlos, pero creo que mi subconsciente la guardo porque me sentí un poco intimidada de coser piezas tan pequeñas, así que cuando leí en concurso me entusiasmé y, me puse a buscar la Barbie para rescatarla de las mazmorras donde la había puesto prisionera, obviamente cosa que ella no se merecía. Mi Barbie también necesitaba un nombre así que le coloqué Anushka, lo escuché en una película y me encantó.
🌷 For Anushka to relax, she first went to a Spa, since due to so much time in the dungeons her body was a bit sore, for that special day I made a towel and a bandana with felt in an apple green tone, decorated with a cute fuchsia zigzag ribbon; It was quite a gratifying experience, the next day she went to the dressmaker as she needed a new dress.
🌷 Para que Anushka se relajara primero se fue para un Spa, ya que debido a tanto tiempo en las mazmorras tenía su cuerpo un poco adolorido, para ese día especial le elaboré una toalla y una bandana con fieltro de un tono verde manzana, decoradas con una linda cinta zigzag fucsia; fue una experiencia bastante gratifícate, al día siguiente se fue para la modista ya que necesitaba un nuevo vestido.
🌷 While developing this project for me it was impossible to move to my childhood, I remembered that once my mother surprised us when she returned from school, when my older sister and I opened the door to our room, there were all our dolls with dresses made by my mother I remember that my heart was beating very strong with emotion and the smile did not fit on my face with so much joy. My mother always took care of and taught us to take care of our toys, my nieces play with Barbies that were mine and that fills my heart with great joy. I decided to make the dress without a mold, just as my mother made them for our dolls, I took as a guide the original Barbie dress but a little wider since I used a fabric that does not stretch.
🌷 Mientras desarrollaba este proyecto para mí fue imposible trasladarme a mi niñez, recordé que en una oportunidad mi mamá nos sorprendió al regresar del colegio, cuando mi hermana mayor y yo abrimos la puerta de nuestra habitación, estaban todas nuestras muñecas con vestidos elaborados por mi mamá, recuerdo que mi corazón latía muy fuerte de emoción y la sonrisa no me cabía en la cara de tanta alegría. Mi mamá siempre cuidó y nos ensañó a cuidar nuestros juguetes, mis sobrinas juegan con Barbies que fueron mías y eso me llena el corazón de mucha alegría. Decidí hacer el vestido sin molde, tal cual mi mamá los elaboró para nuestras muñecas, tomé como guía el vestido original de la Barbie pero un poco más ancho ya que utilicé una tela que no estira.
🌷 To give it a special and romantic touch, I placed some flowers on the bodice and hand-sewn a lace over skirt.
🌷 Para darle un toque especial y romántico le coloqué unas flores en el corpiño y, le cosí a mano una sobre falda de blonda.

💝 I really enjoyed the production process, although I still do not feel ready to commercialize this type of work, because I consider that there are details that I have to continue working on; but I will surely continue to practice and share the new projects with you.💕💖
