Me encanta reunirme con mis amigas y disfrutar de una divertida tertulia mientras compartimos la merienda, pero desde la llegada de la pandemia no hemos podido hacerlo, me animé en elaborar un nuevo mantel para mi mesa de té con la ilusión de que pronto podamos reencontrarnos; les cuento que ellas son costureras y también solemos ir de compras juntas y perdernos por un rato entre las telas, encajes y mercería.

Paso a paso / Step by step:
🌺 Primero cortamos 2 círculos, los cuales serán la base de nuestro mantel, 1 flor y 1 pieza para el centro.
🌺 First we cut 2 circles, which will be the base of our tablecloth, 1 flower and 1 piece for the center.
🌺 Le pegamos la entretela a la flor, esto lo haremos con la plancha de ropa para activar la pega, este paso nos facilitará la costura y nos quedará mejor armada la aplicación.
🌺 We glue the interfacing to the flower, we will do this with the clothes iron to activate the glue, this step will facilitate the sewing and the application will be better armed.
🌺 Cosemos el centro de la flor, en esta oportunidad quise experimentar hacer la aplicación con otra puntada que no fuera el zigzag y, me decidí por una parecida a el punto festón y me encantó el resultado. Les cuento que primero le iba a poner el centro a la flor de color azul marino, pero recordé que tenía una tela rosada y me pareció que hacía mejor contraste.

🌺Para unir la parte delantera a la posterior y también para darle un toque de decoración le coseremos un bies a todo el contorno, enfrentamos los derechos del mantel y el bies y cosemos con costura recta estirando un poco el bies.
🌺To join the front part to the back and also to give it a decorative touch, we will sew a bias to the entire contour, we face the right of the tablecloth and the bias and sew with a straight seam, stretching the bias a little.
🌺Antes de voltear el bies le hacemos unos pequeños cortes a todo el contorno, de esta manera no se harán arrugas en el mantel, luego volteamos el bies y lo cosemos por todo el borde.
