Hoy traigo un tutorial para hacer una bolsa ecológica plana, un proyecto inspirado en que Chile eliminó definitivamente el uso de bolsas plásticas. Entonces no solo la vamos armar, también vamos a personalizarla. Los materiales son: lona o tela cruda, pinturas, tijeras, hilos, pinceles, lápiz, borrador.

Today I bring a DIY an eco friendly flat bag, an ecological project inspired by the fact that Chile has definitively eliminated the use of plastic bags. So we are not only going to make it, we are also going to personalize it. The materials are: canvas or raw cloth, paints, scissors, threads, brushes, pencil, eraser.
Estas bolsas miden 45cmx40cm, el asa 25cmx8cm, recuerda estas medidas son ajustables, según sea tu necesidad y preferencia corta la tela, dos piezas para cada parte, tendrás 4 piezas en total.

Primero personaliza tu bolsa pintándola con el diseño que gustes, yo hice muchas con textos y cosas tradicionales de Chile, como su comida, flora, los colores de la bandera, incluso su patrona católica: La Virgen del Carmen, la creatividad es libre diviértete.
First personalize your bag by painting it with the design you like, I made many with texts and traditional things of Chile, like its food, flora, the colors of the flag, even its catholic patron: La Virgen del Carmen, creativity is free, have fun.
Mientras seca tu pintura, puedes empezar a coser las asas, como ves en la foto doblala por la mitad ocultando los extremos hacia adentro, también puedes coser al revés y darle vuelta. Una vez seca la pintura, cose uno de los laterales de la bolsa ecológica.
While your paint dries, you can start sewing the handles, as you see in the photo fold it in half hiding the ends inwards, you can also sew it upside down and turn it over. Once the paint is dry, sew one of the sides of the eco-friendly bag.
Antes de ir con el otro lateral, cose el extremo superior de la bolsa ecológica para formar el ruedo, luego ajusta las asas donde las deseas, yo las puse en el centro como la tradicional, finalmente cose el otro lateral.
Before going with the other side, sew the top of the eco-bag, then adjust the handles where you want them, I put them in the center like the traditional one, finally sew the other side.

Wow, the bags are real artworks. I love how you painted the highlights on the ballons to give them volume. And it is good to hear that in Chile plastic bags are bannend, here you can sadly still buy them in a grocery store...
